Does anyone know if it is possible to have another family with approximately the same adr reservation for be our guest at lunch to have a table next to them.

You get to seat yourself at lunch so if there are two empty tables next to each other then yes

And there are several large tables. So whoever gets in first can try to find a large table & the other family can join them when they get in.
