We are thinking about booking be our guest for dinner, we haven’t been since they changed it to a prefix menu. How’s the food? Is it worth the price? Can you take a pic with the beast?
How’s Liberty tree tavern? What restaurant would you prefer?

We went to BoG for dinner. Had a lunch res for liberty but ended up not going.

BoG food was really good. Probably our second favorite restaurant of the trip. Beast just walks through the room and waves. He's probably the least likely to stop for a distanced picture at character meals, but I think I did see him stop on occasion.

The part I liked best was Dessert. It was my birthday the weekend we went and they brought an extra plate of the gray stuff out for me.

We did BOG dinner in September. We were so lucky that our reservation was after the park closed. We enjoyed the dinner but it takes a while. I wouldn’t have done it during park hours since, with the early closure, it takes too much time and we only had one day for MK. Beast walked through several times during our meal (think it was 3 times). I didn’t see him stop for pictures but we took pics (and video) as he walked by

Nothing against LTT the food is fine, but I really like BOG. Had a great filet in September, was cooked a perfect medium rare. During reduced hours it's a great way to stay in the magic for a little while longer.

DH and I enjoyed BOG in January 2020. Our family of 9 enjoyed LTT this past December, but mostly because serving family style allowed everyone to pick what they wanted (DGD ate nothing but mac n cheese, for instance) and eat as much or as little as they wanted. Given the choice, I’d rather eat at BOG.

We love both restaurants, but they are totally different experiences. BoG is more upscale dining while LTT is more about comfort food. With that said, I'm not sure BoG is worth the price since it went to prix fixe. We tried it once, and while it was delicious, I'm not sure I would want to pay that price again. LTT is a better value, a lot of food for a reasonable price. It really depends on how much you want to pay and what kind of food you want.

Went to LTT last week. Had to sit in the diamond horseshoe. Hard chairs super small table 3 of us not a great experience. Food was good but chairs and table ruined in.

We have been to BoG bost pre and post-covid. I think the food is luck of the draw (my husband and I both got steak and mine was great while his was borderline inedible), but to me it is still worth it. I do agree, though, that it takes a LONG time even if you are trying to hurry through, so that's definitely something to consider.

Same here. First time our food was great and took forever by the time we ate and did the beast pictures. Last time in August it was much quicker but still a solid hour + and half our steaks were truly bad. Sons medium steak was very very well done.

We will go back someday but not for a while.

We've had the same experience with BOG - some loved their food, others did not. But LTT food has never been bad, so it is our favorite! We love having a totally different type of (Thanksgiving) food on our Disney vacation!

Liberty tree is our favorite MK restaurant hands down it’s like having a thanksgiving dinner, without all the hard work. I haven’t eaten at BoG for dinner since they first opened but we used to enjoy lunches there pre COVID.

Liberty Tree Tavern at this point, the new setup at BoG just doesn't appeal.

We did LTT about two months ago and it was awful. The macaroni and cheese had absolutely no taste at all. Could have been eating paste on macaroni for all I know. Bill ate the turkey and he thought it was good, but not very hot. The pot roast was had gristle in it (not cooked long and slow like it should be). The pork roast was okay. We usually eat off the menu so everything is hot, but with covid, they aren't doing the menu right now. Just the all you care to eat.

We also did BOG and thought it was very good. The Beast will not stop at tables and just walks through the center of the room toward the other rooms. You can probably get a photo of him, but not with him.

I've never eaten at the BOG for dinner (lunch only, when they had it), but I LOVED the atmosphere.

We ate at LTT on our last trip. We got the platter, and it was delicious!

The choice would be a difficult one for me. It would likely come down to what others in my family wanted and also price.

We did LTT dinner late last year for the first time and it was a big hit for DW. Very good food for the price you pay. I would have been fine at BOG, but DW isn't an adventurous eater so it would have been a waste of $.

The fact that they are seating guests who book at LTT in Diamond Horseshoe is a big no no for me, especially when you are locked into a pricy prixe fixe. At least with BOG, there is no bad seat in the house--it's gorgeous in there. We have always had good but not great food there. It is worth the price if you factor mentally in a $20 "cover charge" to see the inside of the castle ;)

We did BOG with our group of 12 in December and had a wonderful time. We had a reservation for after the park closed. Our food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great. And we loved walking out as the last people in Magic Kingdom

Maybe BOG would be a good choice in the middle of a hot day if it takes a long time. Like for a break out of the heat!
