I was able to get a lunch reservation for Be Our Guest midweek in late June. If we preorder, how long should we expect to wait once we arrive at the restaurant to receive our food? I’d like to eat here, but don’t want to waste time that could be spent seeing attractions.

We've never been for lunch, but we did pre-order food for breakfast before and I'd say it was about 10-15 minutes before we got our food. Enough time to walk around the space and take pictures. We have done dinner there too with no pre-order and the whole experience was not longer than an hour, and that included drinks and appetizers and dessert.

I agree with the above poster. It took about 10-15 minutes for our food to arrive during lunch. But we were snapping photos and taking it all it, so it didn't seem long at all.

If you want the food more quickly, be sure to pick your table and sit down ASAP.
You'll have the choice of 3 rooms, which you can decide on with just a quick peek at each.

Only after you are seated will your food order be put into "delivery mode"
so that it will be brought to the table.

If you want to sight-see a bit more, do that after your meal, so you'll be in control of how much time you spend doing so.

I've preordered 4 soon to be 5 times and between check in and receiving my food its been only a few minutes each time. Even last year spring break with 14 people we checked in, paid, found a seat, and received our food in less than 10 minutes.
When I linger I'm in BOG for about 45 minutes.

Thanks for that information. I could totally see myself wasting time looking around when I should be sitting & waiting for our order.

I never timed it, but one time it did seem like it was more than 15 minutes after we sat down. But I can't say I ever felt it was a terribly long wait.

As an aside to the sit down for faster service posts, is it through the magic bands that they are tracking you? Do all members of the group have to be seated? I am thinking about drink and bathroom runs and maybe that influenced our wait time too.

Not everyone needs to stay at the table.
But, too much straying may slow things down.
The system works, but it can't work miracles.

This is so helpful! Thank you! I thought I’d read somewhere about the wait being over an hour.

If you pre-order, do you get your drink cup before you sit down (talking the regular cup, not a fancy one)? I’m going to be solo, so it would be easier (and probably safer for my food) to get my soda as I’m on my way to finding a table.

We were there just after New Years for Marathon Weekend. We went to MK on Thursday 1/4, and it was packed. Our ADR was for 11:30, and we had pre-ordered. Best thing we ever did. After check-in, you go in a different line if you pre-ordered. We were in pretty early, had plenty of tables to choose from and received our food in a reasonable amount of time. From check-in to departure, I don't think we were in there more than an hour. Now when we left, the line to enter was clear across the bridge. I can't recall if this was for those needing to order or those that pre-ordered. By this point, it was pretty packed inside. I would say if you have an ADR between 11 and 11:30 for lunch, then you will be good to get in and out pretty quickly.

There are self service drink stations, so you can choose your room and then pick up your soda and find a table.

Yes, but they don't always point that out to you. We were there for the first time last week, had pre-ordered and were seated in the WW, waiting for our food. It came out in about 10-15 minutes, and we asked where we could get our soft drink, and the CM pointed to the corner and said, you can serve yourself! Ugh.

If you have pre-ordered, do NOT wait in the long line OUTSIDE the restaurant! When we were there, nobody was actively directing the foot traffic... We had to approach a CM and specifically ASK, and they directed us to skip that entire line and walk right up (on the left side of the walkway) to the restaurant's entrance.

What happens if no one's at the table when the food comes out? When I was there several years ago, I sat down, then started wandering around to other rooms. When I came back, my food was already there. Just wondering if it still can happen this way now.

If you left your "rose" on the table, they would locate your table by that and probably just leave the food there, assuming you may have left the table briefly to get a drink or use the rest room.
