Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

Has anyone been able to book for September 6th yet? My stay is Aug30-Sept 7th I wanted BOG lunch for the 6th but it is only showing dates until the 5th. It was showing the 5th yesterday, so I figured today Sept 6th would pop up...nope? EDITED!! UGH!!! I just read back a few pages, and it looks like I wont be able to pre-book for BOG lunch on Saturday Sept 6th because that is the 8th day into our trip??? We already have BOG dinner reserved for our earlier day in the trip and I dont want to go to lunch there before dinner--eventhough I know they serve different food... I want the Dinner to be our first experience for the ambiance. Will this date eventually open up for us or no lunch for me because I am staying too long :/

From what I read on the first page.. You have to wait 27 days before your intended BoG lunch date?? So if your wanting Sept 6th, you would have to wait and book this Sunday the 10th?!?

I hope Disney isn't pulling another stunt like they did over the July 4th time frame.
On June 10th they had opened 7/7 (the Friday of July 4th week) and then everything stopped for BOG FP's (once the July 4th holiday week had booked).
Then all of a sudden on 7/1 they opened ALL of July thru 7/28, then started one day at a time all over again:worried:
If this is the pattern that they are taking for the Labor day week, they have just allowed FP's thru the Labor day week (Friday the 5th) and now it appears that FP's are at a halt. IF they keep the same pattern, they won't open the rest of September until 9/1 and will open the entire month thru the 28th :scared1:

I sure hope not! September 1st is my BOG FP day anyway and if everyone is on there trying to book it may be horribly slow or worse, crash!

Yes, it should open up once you arrive at the resort, on a seven rolling days basis.

Andre

Thank you Andre!!! And everyone contributing info on this thread! I've been searching and hoping and wishing to figure this whole system out and finally have as a result of all the info posted.

I'm extra excited since we will be celebrating my niece's 1st birthday in Sept @ WDW. princess: BOG for lunch on her bday seems magical

(And staying at Port Orleans Riverside for the first time too!)

So, DW, DD and I are on the DDP but DS 22 month twins are not. I want to order food ahead of time, but how do I get the boys meals separate from the dining plan? The system is only allowing me to use DDP or not.

I guess I can order their food when we get there, but the purpose of ordering ahead is so the two of them don't wait and don't get antsy.

Thanks so much for all of the info on this thread! I've been having major anxiety over missing out on BOG but now I understand the system (knock on wood).:cool1:

Two questions: once booked can we update the time? I'm only coming up with after 1 pm for September 4 and thats a bit late for my little ones.

Also, DW, DD and I are on the DDP but DS 22 month twins are not. I want to order food ahead of time, but how do I get their meals separate from the dining plan?

If you haven't booked yet and 1 PM is what you're seeing for a choice, try refreshing the page a few times. Many people have said that different choices will come up if they do this. But it may be that the later times are all that is available now. If you have booked, you can still try to replace your FP+ with another selection, if there is anything open.

From what I understand, you can work out DDP payments and out of pocket payments with the server when you get to the restaurant. It doesn't need to be specified ahead of time.

Thanks! I didn't see the response and edited my post. I did actually refresh and got a better time.

And for the meals, I'll order for the boys ahead of time and work it out with the server.

we had the same problem last fall. I preordered food for sis family and FP+ system wanted to use DDP credits to pay for my 2 year old nieces meal. My Sis was able to fix it at the kiosk and pay OOP for the 2 year old. Every time she paid OOP for the 2 year old's meals she had to do a separate transaction for her. my family went and grabbed a table while she fixed things

What date are we up to being able to book?

You can only book out 27 days from today e.g., if your intended day for BoG lunch FP is Sept 4 or sooner than you can book today!! Tomorrow you can book for Sept 5.. The next day you can book Sept 6.. So on and so forth. I hope reading this makes it more clearer for you??

Thanks! No, I was wondering since I read about that there was a "glitch" in the 27 day thing. Apparently, that might have not been accurate. Glad to see that things are proceeding as expected.

Yes, we did have a reservation for that week that was canceled several months ago. But it was a separate reservation and different confirmation number from our current reservation, not a changed reservation to reflect a new arrival date. If this is the problem then it must be because both reservations were linked with my Disney Experience account.? This is really disappointing. We really wanted to go there for lunch without a long wait in line.

You could try creating or using an entirely new/different Disney user name to log in to the BOG site, so that you can associate with the active resort reservation number.

The user name for BOG doesn't have to be the same one you use for MDE -- you just need to associate a user name with a reservation number.

Even though I'm too early, I decided just to log into the bog lunch website. Gives me dates for this week, but when I look into "my account" it has 3 people I never heard of, and it should only be 2 of us.

:wave2: donp
That was me that freaked everyone out about the glitch
I thought I had read that it had paused but clearly I was wrong.
Sorry all my Disboard friends! I didn't mean to panic anyone :dance3:

So, I was being nosy as soon as my 60 days opened up when I got my confirmation number....I was playing around just seeing what it was like....

so I try to go in today again, just to poke around, and I sign in, put my name and and confirmation number, and it says "guest already registered" well, no duh....I didn't make any reservations before, because I can't......so how do I get past that?

Okay, I don't know if anyone can help me or not. I did read all the posts and the FAQ page. Lots of useful info.

My situation...

I had my sister's ticket and reservation linked with mine and I made all our FP+ ride reservations. I had thought when I logged onto my BOG invitation that her name would be included but it is not on there anywhere.

I'm really afraid of messing up my FP+ ride reservations so I haven't touched anything but my question is...

1. Do I need to then go into MDE and find someplace to "invite" my sister even though I've been booking all her FP+ rides along with ours.

2. Another sister is joining us for two days. I did not have her FP ticket linked to ours for rides but she linked her resort reservation to ours in the hopes of getting better proximity. Can I also "invite" her?

Do I use their resort reservation numbers?

I'm so confused. I thought I was totally linked up with sister #1 until the BOG page only listed me and my 2 girls.

TIA

None of the MDE linking features apply to the BOG FP+ system.

So yes, you'll need to log in with the individual resort reservation numbers and make separate FP+ bookings for BOG.

I'm not sure if this has been covered, but I kept trying to log in and my account was already filled in because of my computer autofill, and the continue button was always greyed out. I finally got it to turn green by manually entering my account information.
