Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

Agreed. I will never use one of my FP for food. You can just find me around the corner at Pinocchio's enjoying my flatbread pizza or CHH with my Seafood Mac and Cheese :thumbsup2

Hold. the. Phone.

There is seafood Mac and cheese!?!?

That sounds amazing!

I will have to do a qs at CHH for sure!

(This is also a good reminder that I really need to research qs. The only other time I went to WDW we accidentally booked deluxe dining. So I know all about the tables, but I still haven't really prepared for this trip in terms of where I want my quick service meals).

I know everyone wants to eat at BOG and it is frustrating and disappointing. I just hope no one is going to let this ruin the anticipation or the trip. WDW is an amazing place full of tons to do. Don't base the success or failure of your trip on one meal.

That's our feeling. We had dinner at BOG last year. I wanted a FP+ but didn't get it. Oh well.

We only have 1 day @ MK, and I could eat all my meals at CHH and be perfectly happy. Fried Shrimp is awesome too. And the salads. Love CHH! We also really want to try the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow snacks, so another good try.

... for LUNCH (on the separate BOG FP+ website, NOT MDE) but the website says no times available. And has since the minute I got the "special invitation". And each day I checked before I got the "special invitation".

Yes, the FP for BOG for lunch (booked on the separate BOG website) was a test, but cruel to send an invitation out to those of us in November saying "Congratulations!" when there are NO FP available... And it is clear they are changing the system...

Get it together Disney. Reminds me of when I got a "nursery" bill from the hospital for my daughter who was stillborn....

Agreed. The salmon is amazing!

Well said.

Of course, for me this is about the 10,000th thing to go wrong, so it's hard not to let it get to me, but I think you are right and it's important to remember that one meal will not ruin your vacation unless you let it.

I'm going to be surprised if BOG lunch goes ADR. I think planning a QS lunch 180 days out is a bit too complicated and unnecessary. 30 days maybe, after I've made FP+ ressies would make more sense.

Truth. I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble though!

Saw this on the Disney website in BOG's information page. Wonder if they're just getting rid of FP+ for it.

"Please note: Lunch is served from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Seating is limited and is available on a first-come-first-served basis."

Exactly. I have been ready to book everything the minute I could and I still haven't been able to get any of the things we wanted. I am so aggravated. I don't know what other hoops I can jump through?

This. One meal would never ruin my vacation. I am sick of spending so much time to get so little in return though. I have never worked so hard at attempting to get my dining and FP in line, and despite my efforts I still have not been able to secure a good chunk of what I wanted. :faint:

I have no idea if this is true or not, but when I was on the phone today with WDW for a ticket purchase, I asked the CM if he was aware of what was happening with BOG lunch and he said it was going to standby only for lunch....no FP. I know not all of the CMs have the most updated answers, but this seems to jive with Frank the Tank's post from the website.

Wish I would have seen this post before our trip the 1st week in October. This explains why we kept seeing the signs in front of BOG about reaching capacity for lunch. But no one, not even CMS outside BOG, could explain why or even told us about the advance FP- like reservations. Well I will keep my eyes on this thread now for our Dec trip.

So, I can get in and choose my ppl, celebrations, and see my dates, Nov 14-18 are highlighted.

There are two options, "direct to table" and FP.
With either selected, "no FP available".

Just thought I'd update.
I'm 30d out.

If it's standby only, maybe we could start an alerts thread for when paper return tix are given out, if they do that again?

I arrive 11/5 and just rec'd my Bonjour email today. How hard is it to cancel an email campaign if there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow???

:confused3

Someone on another thread was just able to get 11/6

Doubke checked mine and still nothing. Maybe they're opening a week at a time? Maybe a smaller window than 30?
