We were thinking of having lunch at Be Our Guest. Looking online is it true that now they offer the same menu for lunch and dinner, both at $62? The lunch menu used to be different than dinner, but the app shows they're both the same now. Can anyone who's been recently verify this? TIA

Yes both lunch and dinner are the same prix fixe menu and have been since the parks reopened.

Yes, it's been the same fixed price meal for lunch and dinner since they reopened in July 2020.

Seems this is Disney's new way to try and manage capacity. If they price it high enough, fewer people will choose to eat there. Pricey fixed menus will likely cause people to eat elsewhere.

Sadly yes, and eventually they can manage crowds by pricing a Disney vacation out of the reach of most families.

And, with all the slow erosion of the things that make them magical (no magical express; no resort airport checkin; no parades, etc,) they're also running the risk of becoming just an ordinary, overpriced park.

Overpriced yes, but hopefully never ordinary. :)

I see your point, but if the goal is to limit capacity, wouldnt this be more easily accomplished by simply limiting reservations and occupancy?

Yes.

This is more likely the limited kitchen staff (Disney has kitchen hiring problem) means serving less meals aka guests which means a prix fixe meal will generate the needed income.

But BOG is huge with huge overhead and should have been prix fixe from the very beginning for all three meals. Be nice if they varied the menu down the road when they get back to full strength.
