We know that FLE will bring us at least two new dining options, Be Our Guest table serve restaurant and Gaston's Tavern which would (presumably) be counter service. What would you like to see on the menu at each.

For me, I would love to try the "Gray Stuff;" I hear it's delicious!

Sounds good....I want all of those deserts that were dancing in the Movie; that would also be a great tie-in to Mickey's Philharmagic as well.

Audio-animatronic plates that you can ask for recommendations.

Venison, of course. Ohter wild creatures, perhaps... Squirrel? (Squirrel!) Raccoon?

What would the "grey stuff" be? Patte? Mouse? Savory or sweet?

Gosh though--how can they (or rather, why WOULD they) call it a Tavern if they don't serve beer or wine???
And since they don't, not likely we'll ever eat at either one.
So menu suggestions from me would serve little purpose...

At Be Our Guest restaurant, I am personally excited to try the Beef Ragout and Cheese Souffle. :woohoo: Of course I'm also hoping to try a pie and not to mention getting a taste of the signature Pudding "En Flambe." I wonder if it will be plum or some other flavor. :confused3 With dessert I will definitely want some tea but I will certainly ask for a cup that isn't Chipped! :rotfl2:Then, the only decision left to make will be the amount of sugar: one lump or two? :rotfl: While I'm still undecided, at least we're sure to get freshly pressed napkins. :laundy: That's one thing I always expect from a nice establishment.

At Gaston's, I definitely want to try the game hen. Hopefully it will be caught by Lefou, although I seriously doubt it. It would be too much work for him to shoot and collect all those wild birds to keep up with demand. I guess you could say he'd come up "short!" :sad2: For dessert, I hope Gaston sticks to his word about using antlers in all of his decorating... might make for an interesting cake!

I'm hungry already!

waiters at Be our Guest should totally tell guests to "Unfold your Menu and Take a Glance." after handing out menus.

Waiters at the Tavern should insult guests by telling them "No one eats/orders/puts their elbows on the table like Gaston."

He's especially good at expectorating. My, what a guy, that Gaston.

DC7800: Tavern--"An establishment where alcoholic liquors are sold to be drunk on the premesis"
I've said the exact same thing about Liberty Tree in the past----.

But anyway it dosen't matter to anyone anyway (except maybe me) and I
hope for those that do eat there that it is a success!!

While this all very amusing - I would be rather surprised if the menu for either restaurant follows the song in any way. The menus at the restaurants at MK rarely stick very close to the theme of the restaurant. Mostly because many Americans are afraid to try anything new or different. Cetainly no "grey stuff", no matter how delicious.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Turkey Legs or Chicken Legs served at Gaston's Tavern. I will be happy as long as they keep the liberal use of Antlers. I would also love to see Gaston come out every once in the while and make the rounds of the tables. I also agree that "Tavern" implies Alcohol - or more specifically beer. However, the lack of alcohol would not deter me. Maybe they'll serve butterbeer. *snark*:lmao:

I remember reading somewhere that the whole thing will be CS during the day, and the "Be Our Guest" section will go TS for the evening. I am picturing that it is *not* a character meal, but lots of animatronics on the walls (dancing dishes and silverware) which will be inactive during the day, but come alive for the sit-down meals. (That's just my own feeling - no inside info there.)

+1 with UncleR on this one.:)

Big, foaming mugs of root beer, served from large fake "kegs," as in the movie. With Coca Cola exclusive at WDW, it would have to be Barq's, which is a poor example of root beer, but it would just have to do...

I hear its going to be all new stuff to tantalize the palate at WDW...

exciting stuff such as filet with demiglaze/ reduction...or if "financially prudent"...a fabulous ny strip

free range chicken breast...for the first time at WDW

grilled salmon...bought en masse to ensure "fresh...right out of the holding tank" taste to all 81 locations at WDW that serve it...they might give it a french sounding name.

Center Cut pork loin or chop...for those of you that are "fatigued" with the other 3 standard choices

and for dessert...breathtaking creme brûlée...as well as "french" ny style cheesecake and chocolate cake a la Francais...

I'd almost rather it'd be prime aged cuts of Jerry Orbach... (ok...that might be a tad excessive:banana:)
