Be Our Guest dinner vs. Be Our Guest lunch

I made a very early BOG dinner ressie this morning for our December trip but feel that I may need to change to lunch or just cancel the entire reservation. We will be rushed to eat and then head out of park to pick up ME bus to head to airport for our evening flight home. Our last trip we ate dinner at BOG and it was our daughter's favorite experience of the entire trip. It's the only ADR she requested this trip and now I'm thinking it may be a disappointment with the whole rush and get out of there thing. What exactly would we be missing if we did lunch there instead of dinner? I know the menu is different and that we wouldn't meet Beast but other than those two things...???

The menu is VERY different; it's a QS at lunch, but you still need the ADR. It probably depends on what made it her favorite. If it was the food, then lunch will be disappointing. If it was just being in the castle, then the only thing you'd be missing is the ambiance of night time (dinner) vs. daytime (lunch). I don't know if the outside lighting makes a difference to the inside or not.

However, rushing to be sure you don't miss ME will be nerve racking. What time is your flight? At what resort are you staying? Would you be open to taking a cab from the park to your resort if it seemed like time was too short?

ADR time is 4:00 and flight is at 9:30. Wouldn't ME pick up at 6:30?

Yes and no. Your ME bus will LEAVE from your resort at 6:30. You need to be at the resort, in line, with whatever bags you still have no later than 6:15. That means you need to be back at your resort by 6:00. If you really want to do the dinner, I'd be at BoG around 3:30-3:40 to see if you can check in and be ready to be seated. If you're seated on time, you might be okay. When you order, ask your server to bring you your check and settle up while you wait for your food. This way, you're ready to go as soon as you finish eating. You'll need to be headed out of the restaurant and MK no later than 5:00. How far is your resort from MK?

The only way I'd do this is to not use ME and take an Uber straight from the park to the airport. Otherwise, that would be way too rushed for my comfort, especially considering the security lines at the airport in Orlando.

We enjoy the menu at lunch, and the dinner menu doesn't personally appeal to me anyway. Matter of fact, we have it booked for twice next trip (we have the QSDP so it's a good deal on that).

Honestly, I wouldn't do it at all, considering how little time you'll have. Not sure how much you'll get to enjoy it, since if you do have to go back to your resort that leaves very little time.

I agree w/ the pp. I wouldn't do it. It's cutting way too close and the worst thing is to eat and run and then the stress of getting to the airport. Even with Uber from the parks what would you do with your luggage while you ate? What if you have to wait an extra 20 min for a bus/transport back to your hotel after eating? What if? what if? what if? Nope. Too much stress. Either change to lunch or skip.
(I have never eaten at BOG but have actually heard people say they like lunch better than dinner).

One quick question: what resort?

Our ADRs almost always taken us 1 hr. That would be 4-5 for dinner, with plenty of time to get to a MK area resort, let's say. I'd even do it with an Epcot area resort. We'd do as a pp said and ask for the check really early so you can leave as soon as you're done.

Just a personal opinion, but we did lunch there once and won't ever do it again -- didn't enjoy the food and felt it was overpriced for the experience. We're doing dinner there in Aug though.
