Be Our Guest Breakfast

Nancyg56- I 100% agree with everything you said. My ds has a severe peanut & tree nut allergy and going out to eat can be a pretty scary thing. Disney is the one place we feel safe knowing his allergies are taken seriously and that we can all relax and have a good time. Thanks for putting the explanation out there. :)

My pleasure. My DGD allergy was not life-threatening, thank God, but it was threatening all the same. At home I could make substitutions and generally baked using Vegan recipes, which were okay. I never got the darn pancake right. She was a little girl, and my DD and DSIl never traveled anywhere she could nto go, so when we planned the Disney trip, Marisa scoured the DISabilities boards to see how Kady would fare. Nothing can even describe the look on a little girls face when she is eating her panckae for the first time!

I don't think people who are allergy free can comprehend how life changing this is for people. Nothing is ever the same, and food not prepared at home is dangerous many times. Disney restaurants have committed to making their food safe and have built a trust with their guests who need to rely on them to keep them safe. Once Chefs find that they are being used to gain a "perk" it is possible that their vigilence will fade, and w once safe environment for an extended stay will be no more.

Kady can enjoy foods that contain dairy and eggs now, but those trips that she was not safe, the money we spent was well spent! I still remember calling mu husband in tears after that kind chef shared her "secret" recipe! He used to take our little princess out every weekend, jus the two of them. The y ran his errands...the post office, the bank, a lollypop at teh convenience store while she rode a rocking horse, and then breakfast. SH ealways ordered chocolate chip pancakes that the cook turned into a mickey head. AS long as I can, I will try to educate those folks who don't understand so that Disney can continue to make magic for everyone!

Some kind of sweet crepes would be good instead!

This would be incredible & I'm surprised it isn't already on the menu. Possibly there may be an issue in prep for so many guests? In any event, if you haven't already checked out the crepe kiosk in Epcot's France Pavilion, you need to do so. Are they the best crepe in the world? Probably not. But they are good. I haven't been back to the kiosk since I traveled with one of my nieces. She used to call them Chocolate French "creeps." Inside joke. :P But not to be missed.

Just so you know, they do have them on the kids' menu: crepes stuffed with yogurt, fresh berries and wildberry foam. I am slightly surprised they don't have an adult version, but there are many reports of adults ordering kid's menu options without a problem.

We ate there 2 weeks ago and all agreed it was the worst breakfast we ever had at a Disney restaurant. You're better off eating poptarts. But it's because they are a little to froo-froo gourmet with it.

UGH like I really just want to see the park early! That's all! I don't even want that food hahahahahah - what is the DECENT thing on the menu then? or should I just skip seeing the park empty that morning then...

That's the other thing it was cool walking through th park but we were kept to the central part of fantasyland by CM's until official park opening time. You can get some cool main at ****s with few people.

So Mine Train was open at like 8:30-8:45am before park open?

Mine train opened at 8:40 for us and the empty park was one of the best parts of our trip!! I wanted to comment on allergies too. My son has a Milk allergy, he pre-ordered waffles and he ate all of it so it couldn't be too bad. He also got a separate pastry plate with 3 mini pieces of pastry. the rest of the table got the regular pastry plate also.

What's the best item on the menu to split with my DH do you think? - we are only doing this to get into MK early hahahaha

I can't have carrots or oranges/anything citrus - so food allergies here too :(

Not arguing with the previous review, but I just want to offer up another. We absolutely loved the breakfast. Two adults both ordered the Croque Madame. We loved it and my daughter gobbled up half of mine. We also tried the cronut, which was beloved by my DH and daughter, but which I thought was crazy sweet for breakfast. Pastries were yummy and the coffee was hot and plentiful. FYI, my daughter had the kids breakfast plate, which had scrambled eggs, so I don't see why you couldn't get them.

Just throwing it out there that I wouldn't assume you'll hate the breakfast. I talked to many people in the parks who loved it. The DIS is a very discerning crowd and demands a lot (understandable!!) LOL!
