We have never done the BOG breakfast. The prices look pretty outrageous and entrees not terribly filling. Has anyone had any experience with it and wouldn't mind sharing? Also is this a character dining? Do you get to see Belle and the Beast or is it simply just a breakfast?

Yes, it is quite expensive...
No, it is not a character meal.
Beast is only there for M&G during dinner, no Belle ever.
As to whether it's worth it, we thought the food tasty, but our real reason for going was pre park opening to be able to hit 7DMT before the hordes from rope drop. We were done with breakfast by 8:35 and upon exiting 7DMT was operating. We were able to swing 2 rides on it before the que became unmanageable...
So, for us, it was worth it...

I like BOG breakfast. It was among our favorite experiences in August and again in December. It is expensive and I am not sure I would pay OOP for this meal, but we do use the DDP so IMO, it is a good use of a credit.

We are not among those who book BOG to get onto the mine train, so we do not Rush through breakfast. We generally order once we arrive and take our time. We are still out before RD and in the Peter Pan SB queue before it is out of control.

We did it with a party of four adults last November and were completely underwhelmed. We did do PPO, and it was nice to walk down main street virtually alone, but we lingered at breakfast and didn't hit 7DMT in time before park opening. None of us would be dashing to repeat it again, to be honest. We also had breakfast at Sci-Fi during that same trip and were much happier with our meals.

I enjoyed our BOG breakfast and the chance to ride 7DMT before the crowds arrived. You get a plate of pastries to share when you order a meal, so you could just share one adult meal to help with the cost. Also, adults can order off the kids menu - my husband got the kids french toast, so that helped with the cost. I got the open faced sandwich which I thought was good

The meal wasn't amazing but we got the PPO ADR so we could ride 7DMT which was awesome. It was well worth the price for us to walk on the ride since FP+s were all gone by our 30 days (at the time).

We went on 5/17 and it was just okay in terms of the food. Mine was fine. DW's was cold, even though she ordered the same thing I did. DD10 ordered the open faced sandwich, and the poached eggs were firm like hard boiled eggs. The pastries were good, and we got two plates of them for the five of us. We didn't do it for 7DMT since we already had a FP for that morning but did want to get a jump on the RD crowd, so that worked fine. We also got some good pictures in front of the castle in the way in before breakfast.

I had a PPO breakfast here several times when on the dining plan. The servings are small and the food only okay, not great, not terrible. There is a pastry tray which makes up some for the skimpy entree portions if you are a small party. Like the hot dishes the pastries are only okay.

I was one whose primary goal was riding Mine Train and Peter Pan without the wait. I am offsite for my next trip and booked Early Morning Magic instead. The breakfast looks much more substantial and I hope to make the most of the extra time in the park.

It was a one and done for us. We had a pretty poor experience service wise and the food was mediocre at best. It was great as a PPO strategy for 7DMT since we got lucky that day and got 3 rides in before RD. If I were to go again, it would be for 7DMT only and not for the food or experience. This year we are doing the EMM event so that eliminated the need for a BOG ADR.

We did it ppo in February. I was very underwhelmed by the food itself. That said, we are doing it again on our next trip because of the experience of being in the park early and the beauty of the castle.

We are another family that it was one and done for us. While we did it pre park opening, that was just because it was the most convenient time since it was move day on a split stay. The food was just o.k., not bad, not good but we thought we could get much better for less at the resorts or elsewhere. We were three adults, 2 women and one man, and had left over pastries. My son and I also had left over entres, my then DIL is a big eater and ate all of hers. I'll add we have also done the lunch and it was one and done for us as well. Again, could have gotten better food for less elsewhere in the park or at the resorts. Be aware that if you are using it as a pre park opening strategy, the park opening times are moving targets and could very well be changed after it has been booked.

We've done it a number of times and really liked it. That being said, it's a lot of food IMO. The first time we each ordered our own meal and it was too much. The kids ended up eating mostly the free pastries and ignored their meals. And DH and I would have been happy splitting ours. So on subsequent trips, DH and I split a meal and so do the kids.

We enjoyed the food there and there was plenty for all of us. But for us it was just way too rich to eat in the morning before we started a full day in the park so I doubt we would do it again. Only seems like a good value if you are on the DDP to me; no way would I pay OOP that much for a quick service breakfast.

We really liked our BOG breakfast. We had a pre park opening ADR which made it even better! The food was tasty and I felt the portions were more than adequate. We had free dining so it didn't cost us but I would pay OOP if I could get another PPO reservation.

We ate there last December. We didn't do it for a pre-park opening (I don't get up that early). I had the Croque Madame and DH had the Eggs Florentine. My eggs were done very nicely - not too runny, not too hard and I thought it was tasty with very nice bread. DH eats more than I do for breakfast. I had only one pastry and he had a couple - we left a couple and we were both pleasantly full so it's more than enough for me.

Yes, it's expensive. I don't expect food at WDW to be the same price as at home. Having said that, my favourite brunch restaurant where we go every Saturday has a Croque Madame on the menu for $19 plus 13% tax.

My sister and I did it in February. We enjoyed it. We both thought it was too much food. We barely touched our plate of pastries. We could have easily split an entree. I liked the quiche and she really liked her cronut. It was relatively quiet in the West Wing, which was nice. We got two rides on 7DMT between the rope drop crowd arrived. I'm going to do it again when I am there with a friend and her three young kids in November and we are on the Dining Plan - I think I will like it even more then!

Was just there Saturday for 8:05 reservation. The food was terrible. I only ordered a cupcake and DF got the gaston meal. Pastries were dry and his food was cold and tasted pretty bad. Service was quick though. I would only do it again to get in the park early. We did it so we could get in line for Elsa and Anna.

We did BOG breakfast twice a couple of weeks ago. Yes, the price is high, but we neither one eat that big of a breakfast, so we shared and it was plenty of food. We had the quiche one day, and the new Gaston's breakfast the next. Both were good. It was nice to be let into the park so early, (very peaceful), and the ride on SDMT without having to be in the crowd was great. After SDMT, we walked on Peter Pan, and then Pirates....

My pro tips for BOG breakfast:
  • Only do it PPO on a non EMH/EMM day
  • Order 1 drink + 1 cupcake for your party
  • Get out
  • Get on queue for whatever your priority is
  • Go get a waffle at Sleepy Hollow after park open
Looking at the menu, I don't see the "cupcake" option, though I've read about it on the boards. I only see 19.99 entrees. Is it still available? Thanks!
