Has anyone had any luck adding ppl at Be our Guest the day of? We have a res for 5 but now might have 10 ppl. Usually they let you add ppl, but not sure with it being a new and popular restaurant. Anybody have experience w/this??

I added one person to our BOG reservation but I called a few weeks before. Showing up on the day of with 5 more people is doubtful, I think.

I would think unlikely as well. I asked one time how that worked and it was explained to me that your reservation is like a space. So if you have 5 people you are probably sitting at a table for 6 (unless it is a restaurant that has tables for 5) so adding one more person doesn't change that space but adding 5 more people doubles your space. I don't know if this makes sense now that I have typed it but I hope it does.

perfect. to go from 3 to 4 not usually an issue cause you will most likely already be at a table for 4. 5 to 6 is the same concept. going from 4 to 5 you will need that larger table and they may not be able to accommodate that

Doubling your party size from 5 to 10, I have to think you're not likely to be successful by just showing up.

The reservation system can't just add people. You need to cancel that reservation and book a new one. And if there isn't availability for a party of 10 there won't be a new one for you to book. Always check for availability for the new party size before you cancel the old reservation, too.

I would highly doubt it - if it was a restaurant that had been open for a long time, it would be more likely. But one that has only been open for a few weeks/months? Not likely.

I am not sure that even asking that is ok. I mean 1 more person is understandable but doubling the size of the original ADR is nuts not to mention its at the hardest ADR in town. I dont think that because its Disney and customer service is #1 that you should expect that "wish" to be granted. I mean you would make a Ressie for a nice restaurant for a special occason months in advance for 5 people and show up with 10 with out calling if you were at home so WDW should be no different.

I don't even think that you would even be allowed to add 1 extra person to an ADR at BOG for quite a while. Adding an extra person or 2 to multiple ADRs would cause so many guests to upset, not only with the CM's that may allow this, but the families that were allowed to do this, given that so many people with ADRs for BOG spent a great deal of time to snag one.

I don't know when you're going, but definitely start looking multiple times a day for a reservation for 10 or another reservation for 5. You may not be able to sit together, but at least everyone would have a res.

I would explain to the 5 additional people that reservations for BOG are nearly impossible to get so let them know they'll need to have a back up plan for the evening.

If dining together is important consider lunch since it's CS and doesn't require a reservation.

Walking up without a res and hoping to be seated would be a last resort option. If it's not a busy evening, it's the very last seating of the night or it's pouring rain or...you might get lucky.

We were there the first weekend of December and a friend had made a reservation for 5. She gave my family the reservation and we were a party of 7. The CM looked very upset (first time in my history of going to Disney have I ever received that kind of look from a CM) and she told me to expect a 30 min wait for the extra people.

It didn't end up being but another 10 min before they called our name. I would think adding 5 more people would be very hard.
