Cancelled and rebooked rental cars???
When I called yesterday to modify my ressie The guy said you've already made 3 changes!
Have you ever had them say things.
Well this time it would not modify my account online It cancelled my existing one and gave me a new confirmation number.
Come clean How many times?????

I rarely make changes, but only because I usually book through Priceline and therefore CAN'T!
But I am a big bargain hunter and see nothing wrong with it. If they keep changing rates, announcing codes, etc., what else is an informed consumer supposed to do?

Next time the guy comments on how many changes you've made, simply point out how many times they've changed their rates! It takes two parties to play the rates game.

I probably average about 3 times per trip. They keep dropping rates....I can't help it.

I'm already on my 3rd ressie for my December trip. Sure I'll have to do it at least one more time.

Oh....and I ALWAYS do it online. I just don't trust HUMANS to get it right. LOL

I cancelled and rebooked online 3 or 4 times for my May trip. Started out at $195 and it came down to about $120. To save money on travel, you have to be proactive. I've been watching airfare for December, AirTran has been around $185, yesterday it dropped to $135 and I booked it. Their sale ended yesterday, it's up to $215 today!

I cant believe how much money I saved doing it myself this time compared to using a travel agent. I was nervous at first BUT hey you have to JUST DO IT !!!

I don't make changes - I make a new reservation (when it's cheaper to do so) and cancel the old one. I do it as often as it makes sense for me to do so.

3-5 times per trip--if the companies didn't paly withtheir pricing so much, I wouldn't have to keep changing my reservation.

I don't modify either. Just make new and cancel the old. I just cancelled SIX reservations! I do it all online so I don't have to talk to any wise reservationests.
