Into someones hotel room when the curtain was open and you were walking by?

My dh and I last night were laying in bed hysterical talking about how people on the bottom floor of hotels in WDW, or anywhere for that matter, don't draw their blinds :earseek: ! I can't tell you how many times I have walked past someones room and just "glanced" over as we were walking by and Dad is laying on the bed in just his shorts, the room is totally trashed, the kids are fighting on the other bed, and mom is talking on the phone. I feel totally embaressed that I was witness to something so personal but for goodness sakes "CLOSE THE BLINDS!"

Now, I understand they may like the blinds open, want the light to come in, or maybe enjoy the view, BUT, I feel like I am walking into a home uninvited! And yes, I have tried to walk by looking straight ahead and not glancing to my left or right, but OK I am not gonna lie, curiosity sometimes gets the best of me and I fall short... :rolleyes1

Am I a terrible person, should I wear blinders (now that's an idea :cool1: ), or maybe just avoid walking by lower level hotel rooms while in Disney altogether?

I sneak peeks sometimes.....I think it is just human nature.

I don't understand why people don't draw their blinds though! Mine are ALWAYS closed!

i guess you should be glad that's all you've seen. Remeber ugly naked guy and girl?

:rolleyes1 Guilty, your not the only one that has taken a quick glance. I always close my blinds because I am paranoid someone is watching!!!! I got it from my mom!!!

Not peeked, but at night when the window is wide open and the lights are on it's like a giant TV. Doesn't help when people decorate their window all but asking for you to look at it. We've seen some really odd stuff between the lot and the door.

Heck, yes!! If I walked past a room and the curtains or blinds were open, I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to look in. I do this all the time and my husband just shakes his head and keeps walking. Sometimes he asks if I want binoculars and a chair to get comfortable in! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I admit it, I'm curious, (alright, nosy), about how other people live, how they decorate their houses, how they live while on vacation. It fascinates me.

Of course, if it was ME in that lower level room, I'd have the blinds or curtains closed because I like my privacy! :lmao:

This thread reminds me of the scene in "Summer Rental" where the family is renting a house on the beach and the beach access is right next to the house. The people going to the beach are stopping and staring in the window while the family is eating breakfast. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I always hope to spot the hot chick in her Vic. Secrets but always get the hairy gorilla scratching his gonads through his BVD's. :sad1:

Yeah, dh and I have peeked and laughed. I can't imagine why people would do that. It's really not safe. I'm all ways amazed that people leave the curtains wide open after they've left too. Let's just invite someone to break in and take stuff.

How can you not?! If the blinds are open I have to look. I guess I am just nosey. Usually all I see is people in their underwear. It's not always a pretty site. You would think I learned my lesson by now.

Usually I keep the blinds closed. I just feel weird with them open. When I am showering or getting dressed they are 100% closed. This concept hasn't reached some people though. Unless you are Jude Law, please keep your blinds closed when you are changing. No one wants to see, really.

Not only do I peek in the motel rooms w/ open curtains, I also look into the windows of houses as we are driving by. Of course, if you shut your curtains, I won't be looking. I guess I am just curious about what others are doing. (Curious-not nosey!! :rolleyes1 ) DH just laughs at me!

We generally don't leave our curtains open at a motel.

Wow, we would get along great!! Really, if the blinds are open, I figure they WANT me to look in!! :teeth:

There was a time once - we were walking through the grounds of the Polynesian in the early evening and one of my kids said:

"hey look, those people are having SEX."

I looked over at a room and sure enough, there they were! Lights on and everything.
:rotfl2:in

I don't see how you can consider it peeking if the blinds or curtains are open. If they were worried about it, they would close them.

You and I should get together :lmao: We could stake out the moderates

:lmao: Oh dear... Yes I have done this I think it is just human nature.
But what I saw one time was... not good...This man was laying naked and ummm another man was walking out naked from the bathroom

Sneak a peek? Honey, I gaze! :teeth:
It's not like I stop to stare in, it's more of a leisurely cruise :sail:
Haven't seen anything..umm.. er..exotic yet, but hey, I'm a big girl ;)
I always need to check out if someone else got a better/worse room! Yep, there's a big difference in those CBR rooms
If I have the curtains open we just assume others will look in--so we hide the last trip's refillable mugs, I don't run around in the Victoria's Secret (picture that those who know me :rotfl2: )& the guys try not to impolitely scratch themselves, in general, we do our Huxtables impression--

I'm peeking, people,
Jean

PS
DH, disavows any knowledge of my activities!

Oh, me too! I love it when DH drives at night and then I can peek into other people's homes to my hearts content. I'm not really looking for people--more that I want to see what the inside of the houses look like. :teeth:

And, yeah, I look into hotel rooms, too. I even peek into rooms when housekeeping has the doors open--not to see other people but to see if the rooms are better than mine or not! :rotfl:

I love your description- a leisurely cruise! :lmao:

Along with welovedisneyx4 and minkydog, can you imagine the fun we could have at Disney!?! We wouldn't even have to go into the parks! :rotfl: :rotfl:

We could form a club and call it, "The Gladys Cravitz Club" Remember her from the old Bewitched TV show? She always had binoculars handy!

Oh, NMAmy can join, too. She has the right attitude! :)
