This reminds me of the old bad teleporter trades we used to have :sad2:

I wanted to give people a heads up on a scam I had done to me tonight. I traded a girl for 3 of her red presents. After the trade she left rather quickly and I checked the presents. I recieved from her 3 used presents, all of them written on. I tried to check them while in trade but unfortunataly there is no way of checking until you have agreed on the trade and they are in your inventory. I did report to in game staff (which told me to use contact us to straighten out the matter), I checked some of the other trade rooms, and tried a room search for her title. I just finished my report to contact us but I am sure I will get the auto responce that I agreed to the trade so it is my own fault. - sigh - At least I was lucky enough to get her title. Please be cautious when trading for presents with someone you dont know.

BTW I have 3 slightly used presents for trade, going cheap lol

so sorry to hear that you were scammed shame on that person. It just really bugs me when people scam or hurt others.

Oh no, the same thing happen to me yesterday.... and I asked her over and over are you sure you didn't use it. Well it was only for 1 present but still I was bummed that I was stuck with it and couldn't reuse or sell it, but then Rob came up with an idea that had us both laughing our butts off (search out a room with the title "free" and go drop it off :lmao: .. so It wasn't so bad after all.
I do know now not to trade for those presents unless Its someone I trust.

Next time you trade do it in one of your own rooms. Have them put it out for you to see in your room, then trade them your items. At least you have the chance to see it that way. If they dont trust you to follow through then I say dont trade them anyway.

Aww that stinks! The dishonesty of some people~ gosh! Maybe in the future you can use them in a trade. Maybe someone wasn't around during that time period and s/he just wants the present with Mickey popping out as a decoration for his/her own room. Sorry it happened to you!

She could have been just a kid. I would have explained exactly what you wanted to her.

I think this is perfect advice - it goes along with kiosk/code trading as far as having to do things in a certain order. Presents? Follow me to my room and put them down - if not, no deal.

Very sorry to hear about a scam with such a nice thing...:headache:

Well rofl to me it was worth it just to walk in someones room, filled with ppl, plop the present down and step back and watch the owner say...........who Lily? We were both ROFL so bad, but in the process made me think of a fun game lol.

This is something VMK should fix, they have it so the trader can see the note on the present, why not the tradee?
