Be Careful!

Last night we encountered a Water Moccasin laying in the path on our walk back from Disney Sorings to Saratoga Springs! I've heard they are around but have never seen one! Scary for this Maine girl!

This Maine girl HATES snakes of any kind, be they poisonous or not. I would have FREAKED if I'd been with you. Glad you are all OK... but how did you get "around" it?

The brush was on one side of us and the golf course the other side so we veered to the right! Thank god there wasn't brush on both sides! We met up with a couple from Florida right there Thank Goodness! Ps We are from Presque Isle! We wouldn't have known what it was if not for the Florida couple that we met right there!

My son would probably have stopped and played with it, he is a country boy from Georgia so snakes ain't no thang for him. I'm not fond of them but probably wouldn't freak or anything, just walk around it.

I was reading this morning about at little boy at Disney World who reached into the brush to pick up his toy and got bit- almost lost his arm to the bite and $140,000 for the treatment!

To clarify, my son is 35 and has been handling wildlife his whole life so I was partially joking, if he did pick it up he would know how to do it safely.

I also always check in the toilets in Florida before I use them...when my cousin lived in central Florida she found a snake in hers!! Not sure what kind, but that was enough to have me checking southern toilets for life!
