Be careful with used water bottles! Don't get sick!

Not sure how long this story will stay at this link, but with many people refilling water bottles in the parks, this is a good reminder...those used bottles brew germs that can make you very sick! It is not the water, it is your own germs! Ew.

This is exactly why I have no problem with paying for bottled water. I'd rather a fresh, unopened, cold bottle than one that was refilled with tap water.

I also wonder about the cleanliness of the ice and water baths that they chill and store the bottles in at the vendor stands at WDW. I'm sure that water makes it up the threads of the cap to where you put your mouth when you drink from the bottle.

Good point Geoff. If they keep refreezing the ice that could possibly cause a contamination. I've always wondered about the ice machines at the hotels. I don't normally use them. I buy cans of pop since they are already chilled.

Ah, but do you wash the tops of the cans before you open them? Germ, germs, everywhere! (my kids know the five second rule - if you drop something, you can pick it up immediately and eat it!)

LOL, we have that here too. Do you kiss it up to God too?

OMG!! I haven't heard the "Kiss it up to God" in years. I remember being a little kid & if our gum fell out of my mouths, we'd pick it up & kiss it up to God. I guess God's big job for all us kids was to clean all our pieces of gum so we could eat it again. WHat a happy memory you just gave me.
