We were at MK on December 19th and I got some fast passes. The next time I tried to get a fast pass one of my tickets was gone! I believe that I left them in the fast pass machine (is there a name for that thing?) so I asked the cm that working if anyone had found them. He had two paper tickets and an annual pass that had been left, but none of them were mine.

I went to town hall and they were able to issue me another ticket (I had bought another ticket at the same time) but I wasted over an hour.

It must happen fairly frequently because later that day, I returned a ticket to the guy that used the fast past machine ahead of me.

when i worked there and fast pass was still pretty new to every one it happened more times then you can count it seems like most people were in a rush especially if lines are starting to build up behind you the best thing you can do is take it slow dont rush your self the parks not going anywhere and the people behind you will understand because chances are theyve also lost a ticket before as well and before you step away from the fast pass area count all your tickets and make sure you have then heres another hint take a zip lock bag put your tickets in them and also your fast passes because with those little pieces of paper its really easy to loose them :earboy2:

I agree with JCTigger. I use a small zip lock bag or some kind of resealable pouch to hold my tickets, room keys, id and fast passess. I found really nice ones with the camping supplies at Sports Authority. They attached to the end of a lanyard so they were really accessible. princess:

the least amount of stuff that you have to carry is the better so using any type of resealable bag is so much better then lugging around a huge wallet its just more stuff to have to worry about and whats else is pretty good is that you can get around having to carry money or credit cards by putting money on your id cards at check in.... my parents even did it for us kids when we were younger granted this started when we were like 10 or 11 that way we had our own money to spend and to us we were using a credit card but i dont know if you can just put down a specific amount of money on them anymore but if you can still then theres another tip that way you have control as to how much money they have to spend for the whole trip or until thier card runs out and they ask for more but its also one less thing your teenager has to carry around :earboy2:

Yes, many people visit Guest Relations because they have left their tickets in the FP machines. Make sure to count your tickets EVERY time you leave one. With the present tickets, unless you have saved your receipt, have all of the other tickets with you so the Guest Relations host or hostess can search through process of elimination (only works if all tickets were purchased at the same time, same place and in order) with a photo ID, or have made a copy of the backs of your tickets, there is no way to replace those tickets (not talking about AP's) . With the new tickets, that will no longer be a problem because all tickets will be in the system with the name of the person it belongs to, so looking up a ticket and replacing it will be far easier. You will only have to have your photo ID, or if it is a kids ticket you will need the parent's photo ID. See, there will be a great benefit in the new ticket system!!! :cool1:

We've never lost a ticket, but we worried about it!

Here's what we did: Dad's park-job was tickets. All tickets, all the time. He had a small ziplock bag, which held everyone's tickets and everyone's fast passes. We never allowed our kids, who are still very young, to hold onto their $250 tickets.

I did it...
I left one of my tickets in the machine, and realized it a few minutes later as i was counting my park hoppers (i always count them). Went back (just around the corner), and the CM opened the machine, not there... fortunately a man had found it and was waiting along the sidelines to see if anyone came back looking for it. Thank you to him!

Then, being all flustered, i left my Fastpasses on top of the machine (i had put them there as the CM was looking for my park ticket...). Ran back again, and thankfully they were sitting right on top of the machine.

what a spazzz day that was!!!!! :earboy2:

dont worry about being a spazz that day most people that i encountered working at FP would put thier cards in but forget to take the FP ticket and just walk about being completely unaware they needed the little slip of paper that prints out

I found an envelope with all of the whole family's hopper tickets, receipts for the tickets, flight information and airline tickets, and AAA parking pass in the women's restroom in Harambe in AK earlier this year. I know if I had lost all of that I would have been a mess. I took it to Guest Relations, where hopefully they were reunitied with their proper owner. That is why they tell you when you purchase your tickets, keep your tickets and receipt separate in case anything ever happens to the tickets with the receipt they can be reprinted.

Yep, count me in....I left one of my SIL's tickets at a FP machine at dinosaur....when I realized it --- about 2 minutes later I was counting tickets --I had all 6 tickets--it was my JOB to go & get FPs, I realized it was gone. I FREAKED. It was her first trip to WDW and she is a major scrapbooking queen. Fortunately she was able to go to Guest Relations & get a new ticket because she had all the info on her when she bought the tickets at the DS.

We find that using a clear pouch on a neck lanyard for both the FP and the park pass works best; you can see at a glance that everyone has everything they are supposed to have.

It's a bit tougher to do when you use a "runner" to get FP for a group, but I fan them inside my lanyard pouch, so that I can see all the edges to get a count. Then I redistribute them to their owners as soon as I rejoin the group.
