Some of you may have read a thread I started a few weeks ago.

The short form is that my DH (who I suggested had control issues) just advised me that our trip to OKW this year would be preceded by a side trip to Oklahoma. We live in PA and we're DRIVING 1300 miles to OK, leaving 10/09 for a wedding on 10/11, then DRIVING 1300 miles to WDW to check in on 10/13, then DRIVING 1100 miles back home to PA on 10/20. He won't fly. I was asking for suggestions.

Well, we won't be driving. My DH had a stroke on Saturday and now he isn't even in control of the left side of his own body.

He was admitted into a rehab center today and his prognosis is good, but it will be a long, hard road until he's able to drive anywhere.

I know this is/was a medical problem that caused the stroke and I don't feel guilty so please don't think that's the reason for this post. I simply want to ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks,
Betty Anne

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's stroke. I read your original thread and and thought to myself, "what a mess..." It's scary how life's little inconveniences can seem so big until, within an instant, your whole perspective is changed. I will be keeping your family in my prayers.

I am so sorry!

This is hard on everyone and for someone who is used to being "in control" it's got to be much much harde.

Hang in there!
