Be careful cancelling car reservations thru SW

I had a car reservation thru SW. It had its own reservation number and was seperate from my air reservations. I went to the website and went to the CAR area to cancel the car (I got a better deal thru Disney). I came back that the Car reservation was cancelled. I then went to the Air reservation and checked our ressies (I'm notorious for having the impossible bad luck so I alwasy double check everything). I pulled out my AIR reservation number, put it in and it came back "SORRY, THIS RESERVATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED". :scared:

I checked the car reservation again using the car reservation number and it said the reservation was still there. I know for a fact that I used the correct numbers respectively. The two reservation numbers were cats and oranges from each other.

I called SW and told the lady what happened. It took 20 minutes and 2 managers to get me back on my flight. The lady admitted that the cancellation should have gone thru for the car only. It was a glitch. I then had to call EZ Car rental and have them hand cancel the car.:headache:

So, Be VERY careful if you have a car reservation thru SW and you need to cancel it. I'm just thankful I was anal enough to double check the flight reservations. I can just imagine what would have happened if I hadnt and we would have been there at the airport wondering what happened. :confused3

PS - I also plan on double checking my ressies every single day until we leave. LOL:rolleyes:
