BDL-MCO airfare very high lately??

Has anyone else notice that the flights out of hartford have been very pricey lately? We have a trip planned for July and Dec and both times the flights are close to $300. Even when i search flights for the spring they seem very high. Has anyone had luck??

I've noticed that also. Trying to book Oct and Dec, primarily looking at Delta/Song. My timeframes have no competition with SW yet, the only real competition out of BDL, so until they(SW) post rates for Oct and Dec I think we'll see the $300 RT price for Delta. Also, with Song rolling up into Delta effective May, 2006 I would think we could expect schedule and equipment changes BDL/MCO. The flight times and price have been rather dormant lately. JMO

Ive been watching as well. Im looking for BDL to MCO.. song would be wonderful but not counting on it. And I was hoping for under $150 total. Am i crazy. Its for 12/19 hehe. Last year we got regular delta for under that.

I guess I'll count my blessings - we decided on a March trip last week...and found two Song/Delta flights (non-stop BDL to MCO) for mid March for $157 rt/pp. I did have to change our departure date to the day before to get that fare, but I'm use to playing around to see what is out there. We are about equal distance between Bradley and T.F. Green, so I always start with a website like Expedia, so I can change the airports and see which has the cheapest.

FINALLY, I lucked out with something!!

Just keep on looking. We are going 4/19 thru 5/8 and I was checking airfares almost daily from early January out of BDL and could not find anything less then about $250.00 R/T. Well about 3 weeks ago I got a SWA DING for BDL that was good thru 6/9 and was able to jump on 4 R/T tickets for $448.40 total. Since that DING I have not seen any that were good beyond 3/31 but I'm sure they will be coming.

Here's another alternative - check prices on Allegiant Air out of Worcester. I've been watching airfare for our October trip (I know, still far away, but I like to know that everything is booked), and Delta is around $300 for a nonstop flight. Of course, Southwest probably won't release flights for late October for another couple of months, at least. But, I was able to book nonstop flights from Worcester, flying into Orlando Sanford airport (not MCO, it's a smaller regional airport just north of Orlando) for a total of $537 and change for 4 people - it was 134.40 each. Might be worth checking into.

I was checking delta's site a few minutes ago and it seems airfare for July has dropped..nonstop from bdl-mco is 177.00 r/t. Not the flight choice i wanted...hoping for the early morning flight but though it might help someone out there~

I was just hopping on to post this! We took it...it takes almost a whole day off the beginning of our stay, but for a $400+ savings we jumped. The other side is that we took the late flight on the way home, so we'll havce almost a full day on our last day.

I was hoping South West would have had better rates for June. We have made out trips in Sept the last few years, but had to move it to June this year. SW is $279, the last two years we paid $116 R/T and $143 R/T during Sept from BDL. Hoping they have a sale....

Until i got a ding about 3 weeks ago (twice) the fares for SW out of BDL were outrageous! They wanted $125 each way plus tax. The Ding came out and I got 8 tickets 2 for my cruise and 2 for a trip at the end of May for $98 roundtrip including tax each ticket!

The prices are much higher then they use to be!

I need to book for December also and will wait until SW opens up their dates. I also have fare searchers on for orbitz and travelocity and they will let me know if any fares go below $150 R/T. I usually use Providence though which tends to be a little cheaper than Bradley, but being from SE CT, they are both about the same trip for me!!

Northwest CT checking in here!

I looked at BDL-MCO flights around Thanksgiving and wow! They were around $650!!! Absolutely ridiculous and that price extended to a few days after Thanksgiving weekend. Wow!

I bought my July tickets @ $260 RT, today my flight was cancelled and the flight I was rebooked on is $209.
Unfortunately they won't give me a credit since I booked with Song and the new flight is Delta.

I have always booked out of bdl, but this year I have been pricing for my may 18-29th trip. BDL has been crazy high. I have opted for PVD, but I live in east lyme, right by rte 95 so I guess it is just as easy. BDL has ALWAYS been better priced but this year, I guess it is off to providence for this family.
