Hi! I am planning a January trip. I am scheduling it so we will be there on DS's 4th B-day. I want a celebration...what would you suggest is the best place to have dinner?

Just my opinion... we did our son's 6th birthday at Disney. And we chose Chef Mickey's, because they (we feel) had the best birthday atmosphere for the little ones. He got a special cupcake, which they provided. I think if you want a cake, you can arrange for one before hand, and pay for it. We just went with the cupcake, as that's what he prefers. They sing & dance around, and come over to the birthday child for pics and announce his birthday for him. It was nice... Also, if you don't like the buffet type, Liberty Tree is nice too for dinner birthdays.. they sing to you too.

Not a good pic, but this was the cupcake.

We have been going on one of my childrens birthdays for the last 4 years and we prefer Crystal Palace in the MK. They do such a great job and make a big deal out of it with the birthday parade, the chefs hat, etc. The last time we were there we had ressies when dinner started. Everyone was waiting outside to go in and a CP emp. came out and called only us in:confused3
We went in and all the characters were waiting for us to take pics with the birthday boy. They had a chefs hat signed by all the characters, a birthday certificate signed by all the characters and a cupcake. It was great! We were the only ones in there with all the characters and we got lots of great pics. It was truly magical:wizard:

Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace are the best choices. I think that if you have to choose base it on the characters that your child likes the most. My child prefers Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy to the Winnie the Pooh characters. So, we will do Chef Mickeys.

Great post!
I hope your little guy has a magical birthday!:wizard:

My little man will be turning 3 and we chose CP for his birthday. :wizard:

Can't beat Chef Mickey's for a celebration - but we like CP as well!
But our kids unanimously voted Chef Mickey's:thumbsup2

We are going to CP on the birthday of my 4 year old dd! We are hitting Chef Mickeys earlier in the trip! This thread made me so excited!
