Where would you recommend a good place to have a Birthday dinner in EPCOT, for someone just turning 23, a weight-lifter who seems as though he is never full when it comes to eating.

My brother has never really been to disney before. Our parents took us for a 1 day trip when we were very little. I was around 9 or so, and he was about 2 or 3. So, of course he doesn't remember it. For his birthday coming up, My dh and I have decided to treat him to 8 days in disney. Another one of my brothers (who loves WDW just as much as we do, and joins us most of the time that we go) is going to come with his girlfriend.

We are trying to 'turn him' :wizard: . Being that he really hasn't been to disney, he is under the impression that disney is only for kids, and teases us for going so much. Everytime that we mention that we are going, he always says "again? isn't it boring to see the same things everytime you go. it's all kiddie stuff there anyways." I told him that by the time we come back he is going to love it as much as we do. Just to enlighten him, we are doing some adult things while we are there (luau, Hoop Dee Doo, rent some jet skis at ft wilderness, water parks, and PI).

Yet, to show that it is ok to have some "kid-like" pirate: fun, we are doing chef mickey's for dinner (my other brother loves the prime rib there), and crystal palace for breakfast (my dh loves the omelet station). We are also doing 50's prime time and Ohana's Grill.

To mess with him, i am mentioning at every meal ADR that it is his bday.
The day that we go to EPCOT, it will be his actual BDAY. we could not decide where to take him. We thought about Garden Grill, because it is all you can eat (and my brother can eat - both of them for that matter), although it is another character meal. We are trying to think of someplace that would be nice yet, serves nice portions for him.

Any other ideas that would help us out? :confused3

thanks!!!

sorry... so long

Germany? It's a buffet and has entertainment although no characters.

Norway? It's a buffet (does he like fish?) but no entertainment and no characters.

Le Cellier is very nice. Has good food and nice portions, although it isn't all you can eat.

OH! How about Marrakesh? Nice food, large portions and BELLY DANCER!!! Now that's got to be good for a 23 year old's birthday, eh? :cool1:

I really enjoy Le Celliers and will be having my Birthday dinner there next month!!

Restaurant Marrakesh has a belly dancer, which for some reason grown-up men seem to enjoy. And they have good food, too. Lemon Chicken for those non-adventurous types. :)

Forget Germany or Norway or Marrakesh....YUCKERS! ALhtough Germany's atmosphere is GREAT, the food is less than stellar. If you just want fun and drinking, Germany is good, but if you want good food #1 Le Cellier, #2 Bistro DE Paris (I am going my next rip too, it's supposed to be fab), #3 Coral Reef and #4 Chefs.

Whatever you do, make sure they know it's his B-Day. You can pre-order him a cake or just a desert.

We are trying Rose & Crown for the first time this trip.

I am not really that opinionated..ok I am. :smokin:

Le Cellier would be my choice. It has really good food. Aside from that the only other restaurants I've tried in World Showcase, are Akershus and Marrakesh, (and San Angel Inn, but that was when I was little.) But Akershus does have characters - and I know you're already doing a few character meals. Marrakesh was nice, but I thought the food was hit or miss. I have a friend who feels the same way, we both believe it depends on what you order. (Though we've both enjoyed chicken dishes here, me, the kebabs, and him, I think it was the lemon chicken.) In Future World, there's Garden Grill, although I've never eaten there. Like you said, it's all-you-can-eat, but it is a character meal. (I'm trying lunch there in Dec.) Then there's Coral Reef, which I enjoyed, but I found the portion slightly on the small side, especially considering how pricey some of it was. (But the chocolate wave dessert was to die for.)

Hope this helps.

Hi, You could take a walk over to the Beach Club and do the Cape May Buffet. My DH is a BIG eater and Cape May is always one of his FAVORITES to go to.You could even pre-order a cake for the table. Joan
