Hi, we're arriving tomorrow around 1:00 pm & BCV told me today that we've been assigned a "woods view" for our dedicated non-smoking 2 bdrm w/sleeper sofa in second bdrm (our request Grandpa, age 83 is coming & needs a sofa for putting on surgical socks & getting away from grandkids LOL). Is this good, bad or indifferent????Opinions please!

Might be an Epcot view. None of the views at BCV are bad. You'll have a wonderful trip.

The "Woods View" faces the Woods / Wetland area that you see when you walk over to Epcot. In general, it is peaceful and quiet. There is one room at the end of the hallway that you will hear the trash being picked up on certain days. You will be able to hear the fireworks from all the rooms in the woods view and you will be able to see the fireworks from half of the rooms on the upper floors.

Having just gotten back, I think this view is very peaceful and pretty; however, it may be noisy since it is near the road. You will also be able to hear the fireworks. Bring your earplugs!

Yeah,

Woods View ; meaning view of the back service road. We spent a week Last month overlooking the 'woods view". Room 365. This may have been the worst view we ever had in DW. But dont worry about the view when you have accomadations like these. You will have a great time despite the view. We were able to see the top of the fireworks though.

I just had room 375 in BCV. This is an EPCOT view. From my accomodation I had the opportunity to view:

- fireworks
- the back side of what looked like the Land.
- busses and other service vehicles on their way around the resort loop.
- some really huge fish and turtles in the canal.

I also got to enjoy whatever music the employees were playing in their cars on their way to and from work.

My opinion is there are no good views in BCV. If the "woods" view also gives you a view of the back side of BC then it may also be a quiet view. I don't consider views of pools, cars, parking lots, roads or other parts of the hotel structure to be views I want have. This pretty much describes the available views at BCV. BCV probably has the worst views of both the existing 4 DVC's on site as well as the two proposed ones. I suspect Vero and HH couldn't possibly have views like BCV...

At the same time I enjoyed my stay at BCV immensely and will stay there again with the understanding that the best I can do is a quiet room with a short walk. For an extended stay I would pick VWL or OKW...and possibly SSRV depending on how they build it.

doubletrouble_vb, From room 375 couldn't you also see Spaceship Earth?
