BCV/VWL Split Stay during NYE Week

Since I already have lots of points tied up...I am going to have a split stay (Using 11 mo. pts.) at the BCV and VWL during the period Dec 30 - Jan 6.

I can have 3 nights or so at each, but am undecided what order to book them considering the crowds at this time of year. We definitely want to be in the MK or Epcot during the NYE for fireworks. I have read where MK has the same fireworks show on the 30th.

Should I stay at BCV or VWL first?

Are there any events (besides Osborne lights) still going on this week? I know decorations should still be there for most of the time.

It's possible, depending on the type of unit, that you might not have a choice. NYE is the single most popular night for DVC reservations, especially at BCV and BWV. Given that NYE reservations have been being made since Thursday (making Monday the 4th day that they have been available) it is possible that one or both resorts might be sold out for NYE already (unlikely, but conceivably possible since these are two of the smaller resorts). If it were me, I would choose BCV for NYE and go to Epcot. Can't beat the convenience, IMHO. We did NYE at MK in 2005/2005 and will never go there again for NYE. It was just too jammed given the way the park is set up (we have done Xmas day at MK, and NYE at Epcot as well, and this was by far the worst of the three).

I think it depends where you want to be for NYE itself. Both the MK and Epcot have great fireworks displays. I have never see MGM's, but it's nice too. Once you choose your park, then choose the resort . I would agree with Doctor P about calling ASAP to get your NYE reservation in. I know that all Standard and Boardwalk Views are sold at at BWV already.
