What is the difference between the Bonnet Creek Villas and Wyndham Bonnet Creek? Just check at Expedia, and there is a huge price difference.

First of all, be careful with your abbreviations. BCV usually means Beach Club Villas -- a Disney Vacation Club timeshare resort located at Beach Club onsite in the Epcot area.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is also a timeshare. If you rent a timeshare unit directly from a timeshare owner (or from an owner through a brokerage), it will be much less expensive than booking directly through Wyndham.

That is most likely the difference you are looking at -- if it's a 2 bedroom for <$1,000, you're looking at an owner rental; if it's somewhat more than $1,000, you're booking through Wyndham directly.

Same accommodations, different seller, very different price.

I know BCV typically means Beach Club Villas, which is why I spelled it out in my post. As this is the Orlando Hotels and Attractions thread, I didn't think it would cause too much confusion.;)

Thanks for clearing up the difference between the two Bonnet Creeks. I thought maybe one was a cheaper neighbor hotel or something.:upsidedow

There are NOT two Bonnet Creeks, at least not in the sense you seem to mean.

There are two parts of Bonnet Creek -- the Wyndham part and the Hilton/Waldorf Astoria part. Both the Hilton and Waldorf Astoria are traditional hotels and you would book them the same way you'd book any other hotel. Guests at either of these hotels share the amenities (pools, golf course, etc.) of both hotels.

In the Wyndham part, there are two different types of accommodations - The Wyndham Grand Hotel (traditional hotel) and Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort which is the timeshare, comprised of six high-rise buildings around the lake. Guests at either WBC or Wyndham Grand have full use of all of the facilities and amenities around the lake (six pools, two lazy rivers, mini-golf, activities center at the main timeshare building, spa at the hotel, etc.), whether they are located in the timeshare or the hotel.

If you are looking at any kind of a condo-type rental, it is part of the timeshare, and can be booked in the two methods I mentioned above.
