We have our rescheduled trip planned for 8/30-9/6 with a split stay at BLT (our home) and BCV. We've never stayed at BCV but love the convenience to Epcot/HS and really wanted to try out Stormalong Bay. Now that the pool isn't open, we are considering switching to Poly. There is availability for that part of my stay. However, I'm hesitant because BC is opening 8/24, so maybe the pool will as well? Also, I'm a little nervous about losing my park reservations if I switch resorts. Just looking for opinions. TIA!

I don't know that anyone knows for certain, but if they are reopening BC and YC 8/24, seems appropriate to expect SB will be open. It's one thing to have it closed when only BCV is open (and the rumors that SB will be open only for the NBA players staying at YC prior to 8/24). I don't see how they could keep it closed when YC/BC/BCV are all open. Your timing might be good. Now having the pool open and actually getting access (if they are doing reduced capacity for distancing) are 2 different things. Good luck - hope you get to enjoy it. It's an amazing pool!

Thanks for your insight! I’m leaning toward Poly because it’s much cheaper in August and then hoping for BCV for our next trip in April. Ahhh... decisions!

I'd go with Poly until it's known for sure that Stormalong Bay will be open. You just never know until you know.

Definitely a difficult choice to make. BC with SAB and easy access to Epcot with F&W going on every day is a nice draw. BC is my favorite resort hands down. On the other hand, Poly is beautiful and such a comfortable resort. We stayed there for the first time last summer and fell in love with it. Plus between BLT and Poly you'd be at monorail resorts the whole time. We were scheduled for the same two resorts this past May until everything came crashing down. Tough decision, I don't envy you. I think I would stick with BC. BTW, you won't lose your park passes if you do change. I changed my resorts this morning (over the phone) and my park passes are fine.
