BCV decor?
Would anyone change resorts based on the comforter? We have ressies for BCV and I really think I don't like the pictures I am seeing of the studios at BCV. I know this is crazy but actually considering switching to BWV instead. Also we found out that Stormalong Bay will be under refurb while at BCV so I am dissappointed.

Lets say I can get over the bed how about comfort of this and the couch at BCV compared to BWV. Anyone stayed at these two resorts lately?

Love opinions on pros and cons on switching. I already know size of BCV is smaller and closer to EPcot (as far as walking) Anything else???

TIA

I was under the impression that the rooms are the same in size at the BCV and the BWV. I would not change resorts because of the looks of a comforter. We own at both these resorts and have found the comfort level to be equal. If the only reason you chose BCV over BWV is because of SAB and it is closed for refurbishment then switch to the BWV. I was also under the impression that the entire SAB would not be closed, just certain parts at given times. I am sure that others could be more helpful in this area. They are both great resorts and you can not go wrong with either.

I don't think you are crazy. Room decor is one of my top five priorities. And with SAB closed, and the location being a "practical" wash, I might choose decor I liked over decor I didn't.

because of SAB being down, but I like the kids club, and they don't have it at BWV.

But no, I think trying different places is fun.

So go for it.

Stayed at BCV in a studio from Oct 4- October 9 and stayed at BWV in a one bedroom from Oct.9-Oct 11.

Its hard for me to compare rooms since one was a studio and the other a one bedroom, but I'll try to compare resorts in general. The BCV is my favorite resort based on location and SAB. The room was nice alot of white and seafoam and blue colors, and in very good shape, but I thought it was small. I love the building decor, the common rooms and the hallways (even though we were in the LAST room at the end of the hall). If you get a room out that way, it is a long walk to the main pool area. However, once you get there, it is easy to spend the entire afternoon in the various pool area and using the waterslide, etc. Our room faced the canal and had a faint view of the quiet pool. We saw the BCV alligator and turtles and alot of water fowl.

We ended up at BWV for two nights because we were supposed to stay at Vero beach from Oct 8-11 and had to scramble at the last minute to change our ressies. We were due to stay in Clearwater, but when we got to BCV we loved it so much we just wanted to stay, but the only accommodations available for the 9th and 10th was a one bedroom at BWV. The one bedroom is really nice. I saw a post that said once you go to a one bedroom you'll never go back to a studio. They may be right. The building was clean and bright and beautifully decorated. Colors are similar to that of beachclub, but is harkens back to the turn of the century. We had a standard view overlooking the front portico. However, the pool is just okay, and after and hour I was bored and wanted to be at SAB. We also didn't like that the actual boardwalk area serves as the hotel ammenities. There is nothing under the BWV roof except for rooms. Now we love the boardwalk area, but it is accessible from BCV too, and there are more choices actually in the hotel over at BCV. I don't know why this matters to me but it does.

We were lucky--the CM at both places were excellent--very helpful and friendly. I just like the BCV better. We always stayed at the hotel before the villas were built and so I may be biased, but out of the two I choose BCV.

Hope this helps, and if you have any ?'s, just ask.

I personally prefer BWV for two reasons:

1) I can keep track of my 3 kids in the pool. Can't do that at SAB. (Although we did go to SAB back when it was open for pool hopping.....kids loved it; it was a lot of work for DH and I though!)

2) My oldest DS loves Community Hall.....free Nintendo/PlayStation 'fix'.....you can only be away from Nintendo/PlayStation so long when you're 11! The other kids also like the activities....ping pong, foosball, coloring, DVDs to rent, etc. (Not sure if they have all of this at BCV....if they don't, it'd be a primary reason for us to stick with BWV!)

Some day we'll try to stay at BCV specifically because of SAB, but if SAB is closed, I'd definitely go for BWV.

Just another POV!

... because of your SAB concerns I'm assuming your kids are still young. In a few more years though, SAB will be a great draw for your kids when they're at the stage/age in their life where MK isn't "kewl" anymore.

Decor aside, I own at BCV and don't have any desire to stay at BWV any time soon. The reason, there are no dedicated 2 bedrooms at BWV. Although it is not guaranteed that I will always be able to get one at BCV, we have 4 kids and there may be fights about having to sleep on the foldout in BR2. It sounds silly, but anything my kids can find to fight about they will. Now if DH and I ever get to go without the kids I would love to try BWV, and in the future we plan to try them all. But for now, I would rather get as many "real" beds as possible. JMO.

Seems like you define an area for them to play in a the problem is solved. They need to be able to see you.
