I was just wondering which had more 2br rooms. I wanted to waitlist 3 nights at either resort (absolutely no preference of lockoff vs non, room view, bed vs pullout, etc). Just wondering which I had a better chance of getting!

This is not for f&w btw lol!
Thanks!!!

Near the top of each DVC Forum is a Sticky Thread entitled "DVC Resource Center". Post #3 of that thread has the info you want. :)

Here's a direct link:

Numbers of DVC Villas per DVC Resort

P.S. There are 3 different booking categories for 2 bedroom villas at BCV and 3 at the BWV. Each requires a separate waitlist and you are allowed two active waitlistsat any point in time

1. BCV: Dedicated with 2 queens in the second bedroom
2. BCV: Dedicated with 1 queen and a queen sleep sofa in the second bedroom
3. BCV: Lock-off with 1 queen and a double sleep sofa in the second bedroom (studio portion)

All the 2 bedroom villas at the BWV are lock-offs, but there are three "view" - Boardwalk, Pool/Garden/Standard.

BCV has more 2BR villas than BWV has. However, there are probably more Garden/Preferred View 2BR villas at BWV than either dedicated 2BR or lock-off 2BR at BCV.

From the DVC Resource Thread at the top of each DVC Board:

BWV - 97 Dedicated Studios - 130 Dedicated 1Bdrm - 0 Dedicated 2Bdrm - 149 Lockoffs - 7 Grand Villas = 383 Villas / 532 Max. Available

BCV - 36 Dedicated Studios - 20 Dedicated 1Bdrm - 78 Dedicated 2Bdrm - 74 Lockoffs - 0 Grand Villas = 208 VIllas / 282 Max. Available

Wow I never would have guessed BCV would have a few more 2BR than BWV (since it is overall a smaller resort)

The issue you have is that 2BRs in both BCV and BWV are broken down into three different booking categories and any given wait list can go towards only one of those booking categories. At BWV you have only 2BR lock-offs but the booking categories are standard view (37 2BR lock-offs), boardwalk view (17), and pool/garden view (95), At BCV, the categories are 2BR lock-offs (74), 2BR dedicated with two queen beds in second bedroom and, as a separate booking category, 2BR dedicated with queen and pull-out double couch in second bedroom (combined those two dedicated categories are 78 rooms but I do not know the division between the two). BWV pool/garden view has the most rooms and thus possibly the highest chance of a wait list coming through but that is not necessarily true, e,g,. with a lock-off you are competing on the wait list with those who want 2BRs, 1BRs or studios, while with a dedicated, such as those that exist at BCV, you are competing only with those seeking a 2BR.
