Just wondering... We have visited BWV several times and love it, what does everyone prefer BCV or BWV? Both have same general location perks, BCV has that awesome pool, BWV restuarants and night life? Which does everyone prefer and why?

Frankly, I think BCV gives you the best of both worlds! You can get into the great pool, but it is only a short walk to Boardwalk and to Epcot. Plus I just love the theming of BCV, makes me feel good every time we stay there.

Both are great!!! But if we are looking at the pools for instance....I like BWV's been at BCV's 3 times and I personally think the pool is great for really little ones or older ones who can be trusted to walk across the pedestrian sidewalk on their own to slide down the slide. But for a mom of a 3 and 6 year old it isn't that great, my son just wants to sit on that beach getting sand so far up his rear, it takes me weeks to get it all out ;) and my daughter wants to go down the slide over and over, so basically one of us is with my son and one is with my daughter. :confused3

Now that I am on a roll. When your sitting on the "beach" sand, you can look at Hanna's, but to get there is quite a hike. The 8 foot deep "river" is about as fun as a toothache for my kids. So there you go......

I can sit at the boardwalk pool and both my kids can have a great time while I can keep an eye on both of them and my husband and I can actually talk to one another.

Please don't think I am lazy and don't like to run after my kids.....but I am in the fitness industry and basically work out for a living, I like to relax at the pools when at Disney and save my energy for the parks..... :bounce: :bounce:

Whooooo that was quite a tangent...please forgive me SAB lovers....I do think the pool is a great concept, just not for me.

We just got back from our first trip "home" to the BCVs last week, and I have to vote BCV. As DisneyDuo said, it really is the best of both worlds - all worlds really ;)

The rooms are really beautiful - light and airy with colors that are very relaxing and comfortable. BWV are done really nice too, but I think the colors are a little more "vibrant" and busy.

The food and drink options at the resort are great, and you have a character meal right there at the resort - Cape May (best dinner we had during our stay), Beaches and Cream (great chocolate shake), Hurricane Hannah's, Martha's Vineyard, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Yacht Club Galley, Crew's Cup Lounge.

You've got Epcot and Boardwalk within walking distance - lots of entertainment! MGM is there too. You are near all the action, but you have your peacful "seaside" resort to come back to for rest and relaxation. Walk or boat to Epcot. Walk to Boardwalk. Boat or walk (if you are up for a really long walk) to MGM. It's great!

Stormalong Bay really is great, as is the quiet pool dedicated to the Beach Club Villas. The dedicated pool is so serene, and Stormalong Bay is a truly great complex of pools to choose from. We spent some time at the kiddy area where my 3 year old had a blast sliding. Then we went over to the zero entry sand area and played a while in that pool. And had we had more time and the breeze been a little less, we would have done some of the other areas of the pool too. Just having that mini-water park to look at was fun in itself!

You don't have to drive or walk for miles at the resort to get where you want to go. I was afraid I'd feel like I was hiking everywhere, but I didn't. Even my mother, who has trouble walking long distances, made it fine. You learn little short cuts that are not only obviously shorter, but take you through some really beautiful areas of the resort.

I could go on, but I am going to save the rest for my trip report - coming soon. Hope this helps!

BWV is our family favourite we just love everything about the place yes BCV does have SAB but that isn't enough to turn the tables for our family.

I consider them pretty equal, with BWV's coming out on top because it can be much cheaper than BCV's. We just got back from 9 nights at BWV's and VWL. 9 nights at BCV's in a 1 bedroom last week would cost 60 points extra over a standard BWV. At $10 a point, and the fact I see the resorts as equal, BWV's are $600 better than BCV's over 9 nights.

Having said that, look for me to add on 50 pts at BCV's if possible because I want 50 more points as well as wanting to have SAB once every 3 trips.

The types of accommodations you desire can be a consideration too. BCV does not have any Grand Villas, but BWV does not have any dedicated 2BR's (all lockoff 2BR's). We have young children, and the lockoff 2BR's require extra attention for the little ones. Luna Park is built on a much smaller scale than SAB, but it is still a very nice pool.
