BCV update

Disappointing, but I guess the rumor that was circulating is now confirmed. Eager to learn WHEN the renov will begin and why it has been deferred? Who knows, maybe they want to complete BWV first, then start on BCV instead of doing them at the same time.

This is super disappointing. It seems like they've been talking about this refurb forever and it never actually gets going.

Disney doesn't really say much when it comes to things that may affect bookings and attendance. They don't want an empty resort during construction.

what would the chances of it being done by April 2016??? I am debating bailing from WLV due to the construction zone that will be going on over there... and now I was researching BCV and see that they are in limbo with their refurb.

FWIW thats the exact response I got when I called member services on Tuesday and they looked into it for me. "Delayed" was all they were given, with no start/end dates provided to them (or myself)

I asked a few around here at BCV for the past few days and no one seems to know when any work will start on the rooms, or any of the resort. Our one bedroom on the 3rd floor is in beautiful condition. Everything there that should be, everything working fine, and overall in excellent shape. Does not look old or run down in any way, shape, or form.

Well that's good to hear anyway for those of us getting there soon. I'm hoping our room is in good condition too, just disappointed this long overdue rehab has been pushed back with no word on why or how long.

Spoke to a housekeeping supervisor this afternoon. He told me that the word that they got is that BCV refurbishment will start in January '16 upon completion of Beach Club and Yacht Club.

GREAT to hear that your room is in good condition; ENJOY! MANY OF US were hoping that the renovation project would have been started by now; now there are threads that the project will be delayed until January. Disappointed.

hmmm...now i know why my waitlist on a 1 bedroom came through (i originally had a 2 bedroom but other relatives backed out of the trip, so i only needed a 1 br). i thought that was odd because of the timing-food and wine festival. they must of opened all the rooms that were possibly going to be refurbed but now arent. that sucks-i really was just looking to have a new comfortable bed!! the old ones are horrible.

About 3 weeks ago or so there was a flood of BCV rooms made available during the fall. The first indicator that things might be changing with the refurb although the speculation moved more towards them getting it done sooner than they had thought.
