We just got back Monday from a wonderful warm Beach Club stay. I am going to highlight just a couple of things, but please feel free to ask any questions.
Magical Express: ME to the resort took about one hour and a half. We carried our luggage this time because we were checking in around 7:00 p.m. and wanted our stuff with us. We were the last stop. ME to the airport picked us up Monday 3 1/2 hours ahead of time! Our bus only had a dozen people on it total.
Villa Condition: Our room was ok upon first glance. If I wanted to be picky I would point out that the top of our TV stand really needed to be dusted. Some of the carpet was stained in front of the fridge. The room had used hand soap (the entire bar) by the sink that wasn't cleaned out from the previous people. Also, we didn't receive Trash and Towel service. It was like they forgot about it. Really, those things are minor to me. My dh was put off by the soap being left, but I asked for a new bar the next day and just tossed the old one.
Villa Location: We were in room 275 overlooking the canal and the "highway." The room had a great view of the Epcot fireworks and we were looking at The Land from the balcony. It was a long walk from the entrance of the villas to our room. We found that if we walked outside by the villa pool the far elevators made is seem much faster.
Around-and-About: The weather was perfect. We were in shorts and tee shirts the entire trip with around 80 during the day. I miss a true counter service place for meals. I am glad that there is some type of counter service, but it really isn't that great. Bus service was wonderful. We never waited long if we took the bus. No one was ever in the villa pool and very few at SAB. It was nice to have the hot tub to ourselves. We also attended MVMCP on a Friday night and the crowds were very mild. I was afraid that it would be a zoo with the end of pop warner and a Friday.
We did get a sneak peak at SSE on Dec. 9. It was neat to see the changes. It stopped twice, and they were not using all of the cars when we went on.
I am finally one of "those" guests who is complaining about rude guests. I saw a number of rude people. One older man encouraged his grandkids to climb in the middle of the plants etc. to watch the fireworks. He followed them into the bushes. They then blocked our view. One child was throwing a ball at a duck in Epcot and his parents didn't say a word to him. I know these things are minor issues, but it seems like I am noticing them more often.
