Is it quicker/easier to take the bus directly from BCV to MK or walk to Epcot and take the monorail?

I will be at BCV this Saturday. It is a good walk from BCV all the way through EPCOT and out to the monorail. Then you have to transfer monorails. I would just hop on a bus at BCV.

If it's raining...take the bus. If it's a nice day and you don't mind a long walk then take the monorail

There are a few problems with the monorail....

The walk from BCV to Epcot is short - the walk from the IG to the monorail station is probably ten minutes - a long walk. Its a nice walk (we do it on the way back fairly often, slipping in a Future World attraction during the walk - over the course of a week we knock off Future World that way - sometimes we are picking up Fastpasses for a post dinner Soarin' ride).

The IG doesn't open until Epcot does - which on most days is the same time the MK does - to get to the monorail means getting to the MK about 45 minutes after opening. Likewise, getting back Epcot needs to be open - if you are leaving the MK at 10pm the monorail won't be an option.

The trick requires hoppers or an AP, not necessarily a huge hurdle, but not one everyone clears.

We take the monorail back fairly often - as I said. Its a pleasant walk and a nice ride - the kids love that monorail track. But it isn't something done for efficiency.

Also, if you take the bus, use the pathway that goes to the parking lot to walk to bus stop. It runs along villas next to pool. It is shorter than walking through the Beach Club's main building. I didn't find this out until our second day there.

does this bus to the MK from BCV make any other stops along the way

we will be there in january. thanks

Definitely the bus. If you take the monorail you'll have to walk all the way from the back of EPCOT (the BCV is near the International Gateway between France & England in World Showcase) to the front. Then you'll have to take the monorail to the TTC and switch to another train to get to the MK. It will take you at least an hour, probably much more. Taking the bus takes 15 minutes.

BCV/BC shares busses with YC (it is a separate stop) and sometimes you may also share with the rest of the Epcot resort world -- BW and Swan/Dolphin, the two of which usually share a different bus. Generally that won't occur during any rush times to and from MK.

We were just at BWV at the beginning of Sept, and did not share a bus with BC for the MK. We shared with Swan and Dolphin, but not BC.
Coming back from AK, we shared a bus with S/D and BC. BW was the last stop, BC was the third after S/D. It was not fun to have to get through all of those stops just to loop back to BW. We ended up getting off at the first stop (not sure which is which, S or D) and crossed the bridge to the BW from there on our next AK visit. It probably cut off at least 10+ minutes of bus time.
