Since we don't arrive until after 2, our first day will be settling in and spending some time at SAB. I'd love to go to FW for the petting zoo, pony rides and C&D campfire sing-along and maybe grab a bite at Trail's End Buffet.

BUT - how do we get there using Disney Transportation? Take the boat from MK to FW? Take a bus from BCV to FW?

Is it just too much of a hassle? One of those "Ya can't get there from here" kinda things?

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Ju

you can do what you suggest and take the bus to the MK and then take the boat to FW

or you can walk or take the boat to Studios - then take the bus to FW.

or you can walk through Epcot and take the monrail to the MK then the boat to FW.

see you have a bunch of choices. either way give yourself plenty of time.

sometimes the boat is going to both WL/VWL and FW - sometimes it is not - be sure to ask the CM at the boat dock - which line you need to be in.

Is all that travel worth it? Or would you just do the Boardwalk experience? I was hoping to do that another night, since it is so close by.

Oops, hit Submit too quickly!

Can we walk thru Epcot to get to the monorail with a ticket? Now that could be fun, too - especially for the kids.

You have a two main choices.

First choice is to hop on a bus to the MK, and then catch the boat to Fort Wilderness. If you want to ride the Monorail, you can ride it to the TTC, and then hop the bus to FW.

The second choice is to hop to boat to the Studios, and then catch the bus to Fort Wilderness. The Studios bus will drop you off at the Settlement Depot, which is the location for Trail's End. To get to the campfire program, you'll want to take an Orange internal bus.

If you ever get confused or lost, and need help, ask a bus driver. We're the ones in the purple pants. We can help you get anywhere you need to go. Asking anyone else risks getting out of date or wrong information.

I do NOT recommend walking through Epcot... it's a *LONG* walk, and will require use of your tickets.

If you are using a PH or a PHP, it will cost you a day off your tickets to walk through Epcot to the monorail. If you will have a UPH or an AP/PAP, then you have no problem.

Thanks. I don't plan to buy a ticket for that first day so a big THANK YOU to CnDE for your tips! Maybe we'll see you...and your purple pants!
