BCV stay- the good, the bad, the ugly!

Who is the new head of DVC? Someone who came from either Pepsi or Fritolay. Does anyone have an address or email for him? His office should read some of these posts. Our sales rep said he is very interested in improving DVC and the member benefits--important one is clean, well kept resort. At times DVC members are treated as second rate.

It does seem odd that there have been so many complaints centered around BCV lately. I know they have been having trouble with the costs associated with the upkeep for SAB, etc -- apparently costs more to maintain than they had anticipated -- do you think that means they have needed to cut back in other places? Such as housekeeping and maintenance?

I would think with YC and BC also using SAB, and with them being popular i would think it's cost would be spread out enough. I don't think there have been many problems at the hotel, or at least you don't hear about them because of no board to rant.

Maybe it's just BCV's turn, in 05 YC won't be clean or kept up. NOT:eek:

I agree with all of you about BCV, I stayed there about a year after it opened and I must admit, that it seemed liked the oldest DVC compared to VWL, BWV, and OKW. My 2 bedroom had cobwebs on the curtains and the hallways I thought were very hacked up as well. The kicker to me was how dirty the outside was, the whole building needed to be white washed very badly , and even the quiet pool seemed old, there was rust all around the pool ladder, and all the tiles around the pool seemed to be cracked. I was very disapointed about BCV and I am glad I do not own all of my points at that resort. Something needs to be done about this.

I have not had a chance to post our trip report yet and am in the process of writing DVC and DCV a letter. We were in rooms 558 & 560. Too many problems to list here but I made several comments to the front desk about the lobby buttons not lighting up in the BCV elevators. Each time, I was told they would send Engineering to take a look but we were there for 5 days and they were never fixed!

BCV is our home resort and I was disgusted by some of the things we found including people at the front desk who really didn't want to hear us! I don't usually complain but this trip there were too many things not to complain about. Housekeeping did not do a good job in our wing of the building!

Yeah, I forgot about those elevator issues. Every time we went to get off the elevator on the 5th floor, 2nd would still be lit up! I had to step off the elevator several times and look at the outside numbers to see which floor we were on!

I hope you will report to DVC as well so that they don't think I was making these things up. I had a nice conversation with Jackie Leuders the other day. She is a very nice lady.
