we will be at BCV in 3 weeks! yippeeee! we usually dont do a grocery stop, but since we are sting in a 1 bedroom this time with a large fridge, we figure it would be good to stop and buy some water before checking in.

my question.... will we save $$ by buying water at the stop the towncars make for you? or is the water just as expensive, I know we can buy a gallon for $2.50 in the store at BCV or BWV....

I just dont want to make the stop if it is not going to save $$

thanks :)

20 days til WDW! :) :) :)

We always buy a case, you can get a case for what you would pay for 3 bottles in the parks. But if you are not interested in carrying it into the park with you it probably wouldn't be worth it.

We find the grocery stop is not only good for water, but breakfast foods and snacks. The stores in the resorts aren't priced that bad, however it is still cheaper at the grocery stores.

We buy a 6 pack of Dasani Water for $2.50 at Winn Dixie (16 oz I believe, although some stores are now selling 24oz for the same price). 1 bottle is $2.50 in the parks.

Since you have a 1 bedroom, you will have a freezer. What we always do is take a little water out of the bottle to allow for expansion and put it in the freezer overnight. Take it out in the morning and you will have cold water all day, it takes awhile to completely thaw. We buy a couple big bottles and use them to refill the smaller ones we take to the parks, we've frozen the same bottles 2 or 3 times and never had a problem with them breaking (some have reported bottles breaking from refreezing).

Have a great time!:D

Water is usually first on our 'gotta' have it list.

We like to get a case of water bottles (MUCH cheaper than at Disney) and also the gallon size for refills. We'll freeze a water bottle 3/4 full the night before, and then fill it before leaving. Water stays cold for hours, especially in an insulated water bottle. (and they actually FIT in the full size freezers in a 1-bedroom!) :)

Besides the breakfast foods and snacks, we also get cold cuts, bread and usually something fun like easy bake cookies and microwave popcorn. Don't over buy - we seem to have too many leftovers on checkout day. Oh yeah, and Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are a delicious treat if you have the time to bake them some morning.

Its great taking advantage of that full kitchen! ;)

We buy a couple of the gallons of distilled water, very cheap. Use it for coffee and to fill our water bottles for our days. My DD likes her water with "no flavor", so this works for us. Diana

thanks so much,
we wouldnt over buy, we just want to get water, as for food, we dont plan on buying anything except maybe some juice and something for an easy breakfast...

We drink a lot of water, so even if we bring it to the park, we would drink a lot in the room anyway, and then just bring one bottle out with us when we go to the park.

I dont mind buying water at the park, but we always need water in the room

thanks, I guess we'll stop to buy it, the towncars offer the free stop anyway, so might as well!

Laura :)
