We returned from our week long stay at BCV in a dedicated 2 bdrm last Sunday. I must say this was a different trip for us. Cast of characters: DD18 (graduation trip) and DS11, along with DH and myself. Sorry no pics. Not that savvy yet. Still a pretty good overview!

The 2 bedroom was in great shape at BCV. No really visible wear and tear except for the dishwasher. The trays were a bit off track, but not a bother at all since we really only had a few breakfast dishes each day. My only mistake was not requesting 2 beds in 2nd bedroom. I really didn't think my children would have a hard time with the pull out sofa. Turns out I was wrong. They did share the bed about 4 nights, but the other nights we split up boys and girls.

BCV & MK Day 1:

Our room was ready at check-in @ 12:30. Yeah! I had requested pool view near elevator. Well, I got near elevator and Port Chochere view. Turns out this was a nice view, but a little noisy to be facing where Magical Express and people arriving are dropping off. Maintenance also decided to jack hammer all around Ariel at the entrance to the villas, which was right below our room. Not sure when a good time to use a jack hammer at WDW is? So, next time I will be more firm about my requests even if I have to wait to get into my room. But, since we had driven all night from Indianapolis, IN (record 14 1/2 hours), we needed to crash a bit.

I guess I have always been somewhat of a commando Disney traveler. At least that is what my family tells me. We only get there at the most every other year, so I definitely have separation anxiety. We did hit EMH at MK the first night. How could I resist open until 3am after a little nap. This turns out was the best idea I had all trip. Waits were very low and we rode everything we wanted in 15-20 minutes. The only downfall was that DS was just wanting to move from one thing to the other and I couldn't convince them to stop and watch Wishes. Turns out I never did get to see Wishes from inside the park. :sad2: Rode all of our favs: Splash, Space Philharmagic, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Snow White and Stitch.

Epcot Day 2:

After our first night out til 2:30am deal, we slept in and did Storm-a-long Bay, then Epcot at night. Went straight to Soarin' and waited 65 minutes. By far the longest wait of the trip. Next we ate at Teppan Edo which my family always loves! Did not disappoint. After dinner and a leisurely walk around WS, we rode TT, caught the end of Illuminations and headed back to BCV and Beaches and Cream. Yes, we did it! Ordered the Kitchen Sink! YUM!!!!!!

Animal Kingdom & HS Day 3:

This was our first full park day. Love getting to AK at opening. Family headed for Dinosaur and I trucked it across the park for FP for EE. Great idea except that they should have went to Safari instead. Safari lines were long and Dinosaur was 10-15 minute wait, if that. So, kids road Dinosaur before I got back with FP for EE. We all then rode again. Then to Triceratops Spin. Always enjoy that ride. My DS then shot baskets at one of the midway games and won a giant bear which we then had to lug around for the rest of the day. At our FP opening time we got another FP for Kali and went to ride EE. These FP's worked great. I, of course, got completely soaked (more like drenched) on Kali. Road EE again, then headed to Safari, with a stop on the way for a couple of jalepeno pretzels and frozen lemonades. Love these! Safari line was still long so we waited and whined a little. After Safari we were done and headed back to SAB.

Headed to HS in the evening. Rode Rnr, Tot & Star Tours without much wait at all. Love these rides! Really enjoyed Star Tours as it now is different almost every time you ride. As always love RnR and ToT! Cruised around the shops and headed back on the resort launch to BCV. We really love the boat rides as a way to unwind.

SAB Day 4:

Relaxed at SAB all day. DD made a tie-dye tshirt at the pool and DS must have rode the Shipwreck slide 100 times. Great Day. ADR for O'hana at the Poly that evening. This was my favorite meal of the trip! Everything was wonderful from the pot stickers and teryaki wings, salad with that yummy dressing, thai noodles and steamed broccoli to Chicken, steak, pork and shrimp! And...oh that bread pudding with the carmel sauce is to die for!

Brought DS's swim trunks and he swam after dinner and we watched The Lion King on the beach while waiting for Wishes! Was a little disappointed in Wishes from here as folks on the beach were gathering up their kids and belongings during the show. Couldn't really hear the music very well. Angle of fireworks a little off and obviously couldn't see the Magic, Memories and You from here. All in all a relaxing spot to watch if this isn't your only time to see Wishes. I must say, the Pina Colada's are great! Went to play mini golf at Fantasia on our way home.

HS & MK Day 5:

DS Toy Mania was a HUGE hit with everyone! DS deemed it his non-ride favorite, since it is really a game. So glad we got FP first thing at rope drop as I would not wait in ANY line for 120 minutes! Rode Rnr and ToT and Star Tours again. Sort of tricked my DS into seeing Voyage of the Little Mermaid. He did like the mid-day break. We find HS to be a very relaxing day. We roam around, take silly pictures and actually take the time to get character pics. Kids also did an on the spot interview about their favorite Disney movies with some, what I would call, street performers. This was fun! It was like they were being interviewed for a talk show. Took a break in the afternoon at SAB and then headed back to MK in the evening. This is where we encountered the Nutella/Fruit Waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow! OMG! This thing is wonderful! Rode Pirates, HM, Philharmagic, Small World, Jungle Cruise, Buzz and Space and Splash multiple times. Great Day!!!!

Epcot & mini golf Day/MK/DTD 6:

Went into Epcot in the morning to ride TT and Soarin' again. Wandered around WS and then headed back to SAB. Boys went to play mini golf again. They then went to the Magic/Mavs game and DD and I went back to Epcot for dinner in Mexico. We then headed back over to MK from here. This turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the trip. To say MK was crowded was an understatement! We walked in, took a pic in front of castle from just past the hub for Photopass and decided to leave. DTD and shopping here we come! Found some cute stuff. Left DTD around 11ish.

Last day

Got up for ADR at Cape May. Great breakfast, but probably won't be doing anymore character meals after this trip. DS isn't really into them and $150 for breakfast is getting to be outrageous. Still, all in all really good food for the last Disney meal. Off to the pool for the rest of the morning. Checked out around 1:00 and said goodbye. :sad1:

Great trip! DD18 hopes that I will book a studio for her and her friends for her spring break next year since it will be different than ours. We'll see...
