BCV room views?

Hi all,

We're leaving for WDW in 9 days (:cool1:) and we'll be staying in a 2br villa. When I've gone before we've just asked when we got there for an Epcot view, which usually put us in a room on the 3-4 floor overlooking that service road that runs alongside the BCV. We could see the top of the ball, some of The Land, and maybe some other odds and ends.

Well, we booked through AAA this time around and when I asked if they could call and make a few "if possible" requests, a room on an upper floor and some sort of Epcot view, the agent told us we had to pay extra for an Epcot view. Now I'm wondering when were there before, did they just give us a room facing Epcot, since our room didn't have a full-sized view? I was considering asking again just to see if they have anything (even though from what I understand they try to figure out rooms some time before the guests actually arrive) when we check in. I'm not looking for anything spectacular, and we were happy seeing the bits of Epcot we did when we had that type of room in the past.

So, should I even bother? And are there any other views someone might suggest for a BCV room?

TIA!!!

I do not know what they tell cash guests. For DVC reservations, there is no longer an Epcot request allowed. They call that side of the building woods view. I do not believe BCV has cash booking categories with different prices but you can check Mousesavers tables of resort rack rates to verify.

Views at BcV are limited to woods, pool/canal or parking areas.

I would ask at check in. Last year when we check in we ask for a water view (had also requested this on our AAA reservation). We had a perfect view of the swimming pool. We have requested the same villa for our trip next week - looks like we will be checking in around the same time.

I think your agent was confused about it being extra money, but it could be they no longer take that request. :confused3 I'd just follow your usual policy and see what happens. If you end up with a lower unit, maybe you'll get one of those huge balconies to compensate. :p

These two sites have view pics for Beach Club Villas:

^ You may have to hit "submit" on that one. It looks like there are five more pages but really there are only three total.

I pay cash for BCV and they have NEVER charged for that view.Maybe they started it this year:confused3 I know they didn't last year.
AS for the view, they no longer consider it Epcot view.It is woodsview.( even for cash guests)

So it sounds like I'll just try ask and see what they say (can't hurt, right?).

@shalom--Thanks for those links! Lots of a great info and pics on there. I've noted a few just to see if they're open when we check in.

Thanks for the input! :goodvibes
