We will be at WDW in August with extended family, in a studio and 2br. My sister has twins who will be just about 10 months old - so probably not quite toddling yet, but close. Do you have any recommendations for room requests where we are close to each other and also close/easy to Epcot? does it make sense to request a ground floor because of the stroller, or will it not really matter? thanks!

You can send an email or chat with member services. The online request tool through MDE does nothing. Either way, it's not assured and you never know what they will do.

Search on here for the email/topic because I know it's been discussed before through the DVC section.

I'm a pessimist, but I wouldn't count on getting room requests at BCV. It's a small resort and it's always full. If you want to make a request, figure out what's most important. The more things you request, the less likely it is to get what you want.

I think there is a way to have the two reservations marked as "travelling with" or something like that so that the room assigner knows that you would like to be near each other.

Are you staying on DVC points that you own? On DVC points that you rented? Or did you make a cash reservation through Disney? If the reservation was booked on DVC points, only the owner can contact DVC Member Services to make a room request.

I don't think "close to Epcot" makes sense because there is only one main door. I think there might be another exit near the parking lot, but I've never used it. Somebody else probably can give you more info about the exit situation.

I would definitely contact MS (either phone or chat) to make sure the 2 reservations are linked so they hopefully get you close. As for any other requests, there are 2 sets of elevators in the villas there, so first floor or upper floor shouldn't be a big deal. And as mentioned previously, most of the EPCOT 'traffic' will exit towards the main Beach Club resort and head to EPCOT from there. There is a nice little shortcut where you can turn left heading towards the Marketplace and come out closer to the IG entrance of EP - saves a few minutes. But just being at BCV has you within minutes of EPCOT, no matter the room. Have a great trip!

You could request close to lobby. The end rooms are pretty far from the lobby/elevators, and thus Epcot. It's a loooong hallway to those last few rooms. You can do it in chat. But it's a small resort by DVC standards, so I don't think it matters that much.

You could also request to be near each other.

I'm not a ground floor type and that included the timeframe when my kids were stroller age. It depends on whether or not you are OK dealing with elevators. I don't consider BCV to be large so closer to Epcot isn't going to save you more than a minute or two. Instead, I would want a quieter area for the infants. Key requests for me would be: rooms close to one another, then pick from these for hopefully a quieter area (away from elevators, top floor, garden view). I would probably try to avoid the BCV pool view even though the pool is rarely going crazy (everyone is at SAB).

One time I was there and there was a lot of noise coming from the BCV pool in mid-afternoon. I was trying to nap and when I couldn't fall asleep, I looked out the window to see what was going on. It wasn't kids, it was one extremely loud and obnoxious adult.

Funny how the kids often get blamed! It's a popular hot tub at the BCV "quiet" pool, and sometimes it gets loud during the day.....!

I was very pleasantly surprised that on my last BCV stay, I Emailed them a list of 12 rooms I requested one of. When I got there, yes, I got one! More often than not, I get at least some of my requests.

Funny, when I have stayed before (including times when I had a double stroller!) I have preferred to be near the elevators and never noticed the noise. Thanks for the info - especially for confirming I don't want to be on the ground floor!

own points. Generally I prefer high floor, even with strollers, but it's been a while. Looks like as long as I make sure we are "traveling with" and "near lobby" we should be ok.
