We just booked a 1BR at BCV for June and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions room requests.

Thanks.

I just request a high, quiet location. The views are not much. We once got a pool view that was high enough and off to the side enough not to be noisy, but otherwise I'd stay away from it--and stay away from the first floor unless you don't mind folks walking by at 10 pm and looking in. We like BCV for the barefoot ambiance and for Stormalong Bay, rather than for the views.

Thanks. That sounds perfect. Can you request a quiet location?

You can request high or low floor. You can request pool or garden or woods views. There isn't a quiet location request, but most of the resort is pretty quiet.

I have requested epcot view before 1 time I got it, about 6 I did not. I am not sure they take that option any more. .. There is not a bad location at the BC. Even the furtherest room from the lobby, is the closestest to the parking lot, and not too far from the market place.

I'd ask for park view and be happy with where ever you got.

Yep, no Epcot view any more. Go for the woods view and hope you can see Epcot. Or you might just get the road and the woods.

I am in the minority when I say, I love the views at BCV!! My two favorite are woods view, or courtyard view if you're a people watcher. Loved that one year. People don't even know you're looking down on them! It's fun. But I really love the quiet of woods view too, especially early in the morning. Have fun!

I love the rooms that face the bend in the walkway. I like watching the laundry carts try and manuever the turn (I've seen two turn over ;)).

Our favorite 1bd was 158 (I think). It was first floor, near the door to the parking lot (we had a car) and faced the quiet pool. It certainly wasn't the most peaceful room we've ever had, but it was the most convenient. It was nice watching my kids in the pool sitting on the room patio.

We had a 1 BR on the 3rd floor. I believe it was unit 372. The view was of the quiet pool and the canal. VERY nice and very quiet. :thumbsup2

I'm joining you on loving the BCV views. Last week we were in a 1 BR where we had trees RIGHT in front of us, and really couldn't see anything else. It was so quiet and peaceful. For the OP, we requested quiet area, and even DH, who's a vert light sleeper, found the area very quiet-we were in the right hand "jog" about half way down the hall if you turn right when you get off the elevator (KWIM?)

The only thing I'd request that I didn't is one big balcony. We got two very small balconies, one of the BR and another off the LR. We couldn't both sit on the same balcony very well. I'd show you a picture if I could figure out this new photobucket. So far I hate it (sorry-off topic). But I've heard some 1 BRs have just one balcony off one area, and a window off the other. And some have the large balcony that connects from both the MBR and the LR. That's what I wish we had.

Aha-did I figure out how to post a picture?

Simba's Mom, great job! I know exactly where you were. I'm baffled why people don't like the views at this resort, what's not to like sitting in front of all those beautiful green trees, listening to the birds? So very nice. Love everything about this resort, so happy we bought there 10 years ago:thumbsup2.

I got the Epcot view once and hated it. We were even on a high floor. Even up that high, to me it was much more of a road view than an Epcot view and that road gets a lot of service trucks and buses, lots of diesel noise. Plus the room was way too far away from SAB.

I was rather disappointed in general with our BCV stay - more room for the people who love this resort - we aren't likely to go back. And MOST of the reason we won't go back has to do with room location relative to the resort.

We always request a 1st floor pool view. ( I know I'm in the minority) But.... this summer our request wasn't met and we were assigned to room #560 (studio). It was a pool view (yea) with the BIGGEST balcony at BCV! It was fantastic! We could sit on the balcony through all of those August afternoon thunder storms and not get wet. We "shared" the balcony with room # 566. (with a buffer zone in the middle) It was also close to the elevator. I will DEF request this room again if we are doing a studio. Too bad it isn't a 2 BR because this is the size we usually get. Did stay in room #563 another time. This is a studio also. It has a woods/Epcot view....some trees, but not right in front of the balcony. We could see a few of the higher Epcot fireworks. It was just OK. At least now I can say I had that view and I don't prefer it.
