Having never been to the Beach Club/YC or BW, I am not quite sure how close the restaurants/facilities are to the BCV? I realize BCV is right "next to" it, but is that really close?

If we wanted to have a nice dinner nearby, what's the closest restaurant?

I can't tell if the restaurants/cafes are actually on BCV property or right "next door." Thanks!

You are right that the restaurants are "right next door". While is is not too far, there are no restaurants in the Villa's per se. The Villas are attached to the back end of the BC.

We walked over to the Boardwalk or went into Epcot for good meals. The Flying Fish is our all time favorite.

Cape May Cafe is a very short walk from the villas. Like 3 minutes from the farthest rooms. There is also Yachtsman Steakhouse which is 5 minutes. The Boardwalk Restaurants and Swan and Dolphin Restaurants are both around 8-10 minutes away. Then you have all the Epcot Resorts that are around a 10 minute walk depending on which one you go to!

Yachtsman Steakhouse is my families favorite and in August there was a DVC discount, I don't know if that is still ineffect but even without it I'd go there for a nice dinner. We also enjoy the Crew Cup Lounge (pricey for a burger but great atmosphere) which is attached to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Many choices in the immediate area in various price ranges.

Ok, you have more places than you could shake a stick at.

You have 2 groups - ones actually at your resort, as in less than 1 block of walking, ranging from simple as in Beaches and Cream(known of course for their desserts, but good fare too) to medium - the previously mentioned Cape May Buffet or the Galley in the Yacht club half to the fancy and worth it previously mentioned Yachtsman's Steakhouse. All excellent food. The Cape May buffet was excetional for being one, a very wide selection.

Now for the ones with a bit more walking, or you could just take the boat across(a not widely known thing - they have the launches setup so one from each dock goes straight across to the other resort before heading out to one of the parks, good for those tired feet!) to Boardwalk, which has everything from a really great hotdog wagon thru to a nice burger place Big River Grill(?) or the fancier places like Flying Fish and Spoodles(who has a pizza pickup window- great pizza)

hi: just to give you a little perspective in terms of distance: if you look at a map of the epcot resort area, the entire circuit around the lake is only 8/10 of a mile. it certainly seems a lot longer when you are walking home after eating some large meals.
