BCV reservation?

When I call in March for an October reservation (7 month window) will I be able to try and get reservations at BCV? Meaning will they let me if there is availability? I am confused about this, with reservations being taken in March, right? and the BCV opening in August.

Yes, you should be able to book BCV.

Beginning on March 6, normal reservation priorities will apply to BCV. BCV owners there will be able to reserve 11 months ahead and other DVC members at 7 months.

Since there is no eleven month window for BCV owners until Feb03, will there be a home resort preference for reservations made for August02-Jan03 stays?? I anticipate many DVCers will want to stay at BCV with non-BCV points, this could make getting a home resort reservation difficult for BCV owners. Any thoughts??

This will only affect August- Oct 5 bookings as March 6 will be 7 mos out from Oct 6. That's the ncentivefor buying now- on March 6 BCV owners will be able to book until Feb 6 and so on after that.

I'm still confused, for the time frame of August-Oct 6, any DVCer with points will be able to book BCV, right? So, for that time frame there is no home resort advantage for BCV owners. correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe that's right Johnnie, I think it was the same for VWL. Well since it's only a couple of months and not high season, I don't thnk it will be a big problem.

I believe Kem is right Johnnie, which means if you want BCV from Aug - Oct you need to be on that phone at exactly 9:00 AM on March 6th. I will be calling too, Good Luck.

The other thing to remember is that room availability to memebers will depend upon how well BCV has sold. DVC starts out with all the rooms in its inventory(ie cash rental). As points are sold a greater percentage of the resort becomes available as memeber inventory. So those first few months may have limited availability for members!

Someone mentioned in one of the other threads that there are 50 rooms initially declared into DVC inventory, about 1/4 of the resort.

Ok, I'll do it. To make it easier for all DVC members to make
ressies on March 6, simply make a studio ressie in my name
(14 points is ok and your choice of resort and date) and
I promise NOT to call on March 6th. ALL DAY LONG!!!!

My understanding is that CRO is already taking cash reservations for the BCV for stays after August 1. Believe they started earlier this week. Call now and check!

On March 6th, I think they don't open until 10:00 instead of 9:00, so everybody wait until 10:00 to call ....

O.k. not to be redundant, but we are going down 10/13 -10/21 so I would assume I can call on 3/21 to switch my ressie from VWL to BCV......please tell me if this is wrong because I wouldn't want to lose out if I really should be calling on 3/6.

Luv2Dream... Assuming that you are being serious, did you purchase BCV points or are you trying to book the 7 month window with points from another resort?
