BCV Quiet Pool Question

I was just looking at some awesome photos posted. One photo of the BCV quiet pool has prompted a question. There is a little building by the pool with what looks like service windows. What is in this building? I'm thinking possibly restrooms and towel service. I hope this next question is not going to be controversial, but how quiet is the quiet pool? DS will be old enough this trip that DH & I should be able to have some down time for ourselves. Will DH and I be able to have a conversation without whispering or is the atmosphere more like a library?
Thanks!

quiet pool I think means not all the hustle and bustle of SAB. It is a pool, so you don't need to be completely quiet. It is just a more relaxed area than the main theme pools.

Yep! That's correct.

As far as the "quiet pool"... This is usually a whole thread worth of opinons.

IMHO quiet refers to the lack of activity offered at the pool. There is no slide or sand or other such things. Also no lifeguards. I think it in no way was intended to be a rule as to how people should behave. However I think it is always important not to infringe on others vacation. I never think screaming, cannonballing and playing catch when there are others around is very considerate in any pool. Some of the quiet pools are near peoples villas and that should be taken into account. If you look at the BC/YC map it is not refered to a quiet pool but the villa pool (the others are the beach pool and the yatch pool)

Its a nic place to get away from the SAB crowds who are ..elbow to elbow in lounge chairs...and screaming unattended kids!! Very relaxing! :teeth:

I use it a lot and there are hardly any people around it....Enjoy! :cool1:

I think the term they use now is Leisure Pool. I prefer the Dunes Cove pool to SAB. My husband and son prefer SAB.

And that little building is the location of a bathroom and it does hold towels. Nothing inside it nor is it staffed.

We love this pool, especially for a quick dip, or to sit in the hot tub. I've always wanted that little building to have a bar tender with a blender, however. It's a LONG walk to Hurricane Hannas!

The amount of quietness also depends on the time of day. If it is mid-afternoon to evening, the pool is busier as people are returning from the parks. I think this is true of most pools however. We have found that if we plan a day at the pool, it is usually very quiet until lunch time or later. Even SAB doesn't seem to get very packed until later in the morning or early afternoon.

Last May we got to BCV around 1, room wasn't ready, but we did have our suimsuits in a convenient carry on and we changed in those bathrooms and had a great time in that pool while waiting for our room. There were about 10 people total in the pool, it was a lovely day and the next time DH called, around 3, our room was ready. We got our things from the car and changed in the room. Self parking is very convenient at BCV.
