I know the question comes up regularly and just wanted to state:

we were at BCV last week and every single day there was a CM at every possible pool entrance standing there to check KTTW cards and hand out the wristbands. :thumbsup2

It's been that way every time we stayed there.

We always stay in May (different weeks though) and this was the first year that I've seen someone stationed at every entrance (front, by Hurr. Hanna's and by B&C) with a line forming before you could even enter the pool area. Other times in the past it was "go find the wristband person stationed in one area". One year is was a very cold and rainy week in May and they hardly did the wristbands at all. Anyway, glad to see they are taking it so seriously! Just sorry we missed the slide re-opening by one day!

Yup, we were there for a week in April, and every single day we had to get the wristband. I'm always so glad to see this every trip, makes sneaking in impossible.:thumbsup2. The last time it wasn't required was on a January trip when the pool was almost empty.

I'm happy to hear that someone is checking id's!

Stormalong Bay is too highly sought after for there to be unlimited access!

Those who pay for Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and those DVC members who are staying at BCV don't want anyone but those who pay and are entitled to use facilities!:goodvibes

Agree! We're checking in on Sunday for our first stay there- woot, woot,woot:cool1:

When we were there in Feb and freezing, even the lifeguards were in winter jackets, they were still checking id's.

I'm glad to hear this, that they really are checking. Every time I go to BCV, they're not checking KTTW cards or giving out wristbands. The only time I ever got a wristband was when I went up to the towel area and asked for one the day before I was going home (wanted to wear it home as a souvenier).

Hey we were there last week too - what a great week to enjoy SAB b/c it was soooo hot! I miss that pool! And I love BCV! :thumbsup2

Funny story: we came home Saturday and my daughter just took off her red wristband yesterday - she didn't want to take it off b/c it reminded her of our vacation at BCV!

sweeeeet! we begin our 18 hr. drive tomorrow afternoon, can't wait!!!!

WOW! 18 hrs.

We are leavign Saturday from where we live, swinging through Savannah to pick up my mom, and then arriving in Orlando late Saturday night to sleep at a cheap hotel for the night. We will wake up early and try to check in to BCV...or at least get our park tickets and keys out of the way....

We booked 3 nights at BCV just for SAB. Our DD loves pool/splash time (she's almost 3) so she will just love it....reminds me, I need to go find and clean her sandbox toys.....

Yup, 18 hours. We did last October and it's actually a pretty easy drive. We booked Pop on cash for Saturday night, $114 with taxes, that way we could use the busses. Then checking out early Sunday and headin' over to BCV!! Good luck finding all your sand box toys:thumbsup2

We went to SAB only one day in late afternoon and nobody checked our badges. I thought it was odd. We used it to get life vests for the kids, but other than that we didn't get a bracelet or anything. This was about 2 weeks ago

Curious -- do they ever stop giving out wristbands during the day? If I don't get to SAB until later in the day, is it possible I will get turned away? We will be there for 10 days during Spring Break next year, so I expect it to be busy.
