This was our first stay as DVC members. We closed the first week of May and was blessed by having a BWV prefered 1 bedroom open for our June,(6)night stay. Mom, Dad and two boys 12 and 14. We purchased 250 points.
We flew in from New Mexico on a Sunday evening and arrived at 1030 pm at Orlando. We decided to stay in the airport Hyatt for the night since we only needed to take an elevator up to the room rather than rent a car and go to an outside hotel.
It was a good thing that we stayed at the airport because American Airlines lost all of our luggage. The luggage went to New York. Fortunetely the next morning it came in. We did not sleep well that night as you could imaginge.
The rest of the trip was magic. BWV was maginificent. The staff was amazingingly friendly. I am not into all the welcome homes but beleive me if you care about that it never stopped.
We asked for the 5th floor. Long walk but so beautiful and quiet with a great view of Tower of Terror. At night we could sit on the balcony and listen and watch some of Fantasmic.
The rooms took my breath away. Maybe next time we will go for a 2 bedroom. We did the illuminations cruise. Was great.
Fantasmic dinner package was also great. Dinner at Morrocco was also great. Lunch at the Castle was espcially nice. I told the waitress who calls her customers "My Lord" that if she could get my wife to call me that she would get the biggest tip of her life.
She did get a 20% tip anyway.
We pool hopped at the GF and the Polynesian. Kids loved it.
It seemed as if we spent 200 dollars a day on meals. Next year we will eat more modestly.
We did E night and early admissions. We visited SSR and OKW and had dinner at Wilderness Lodge. I think my choices in the future will be BWV or BCV or Wilderness for our stay.
I am still trying to recover from Tower of Terror. Anyway it was a wonderful trip. Dennis
