BCV or VWL during holidays?

Hi!

I need to book a pre-night to our GF stay in mid-December (GF was sold out the first night so I have no choice but to book elsewhere). If you were booking a One Bedroom Villa for one night, would you choose the Villas at Wilderness Lodge or Beach Club Villas? I know it's just for one night and it doesn't really matter too much but I need help deciding!! The BCV are so much newer but the Wilderness Lodge is decorated so beautifully during the holidays. Decisions, Decisions!! Can you guys help me decide?

I agree with WL for the Holidays. It really is a pretty resort and close to the MK. Now that being said you are staying at the GF so it might be nice -even for one night to be in the Epcot area.

Your Title says BWV... Did you mean BCV? I would consider long and hard ever staying at the Boardwalk Villas again. My friend just got back and had a horrible stay over there. Had absolutely the worst guest service and check in. Also the whole "you can;t use your counter service credits or refill your mugs" thing just drove her crazy. I was the one who recommended the BWV due to the area but I really regret it now. This won't impact you of course for one night. I would pick BCV over BWV.

I would say WL and call Disney every a.m. at 7am and hope a room opens up.

VWL is beautiful.

that say - since you are staying at GF - go with BCV - it is in a different area.

Wilderness Lodge without a doubt! The decorations, music, and sounds of the holidays make that a must for us!

We actually tried to be there during the holidays this december, but we'll be at BWV! Just like you on our arrival night we're stayiing somewhere else - in a Ft. Wilderness cabin for 1 night using reservation points which we had to use before the end of our use year. This will be our family's version of camping which we've never done and btw my family doesn't know yet - thought I'd surprise them when we get there ! We are not an outdoorsy family by any stretch of the imagination however, we love biking around the Ft. wilderness and seeing all the camp decorations people put up during the holidays and have breakfast or lunch at there.

Not that much newer. The VWL was completed about a year before the BCV. VWL is also the smallest DVC so I find it hard to believe that there is even vacancy at the villas.
