Hi everyone! I am starting to plan our next disney vacation for october 2013 and I am wondering if there are any dates that I should avoid in that month for the beach club villas on account of special events or conventions. I really want to stay there after staying at Kidani this past May. I'm excited to start planning!!!!! Slightly addicted

Thanks!!

You may want to post on the DVC board; there are a lot more veterans over there.

well to be honest its during f&w so it will be hard to get. F&w is one of the busiest times for dvc. You may want to have a backup plan.

If you want to rent points for BCV during October of any year, you pretty much have to start making contact with a BCV owner now. Their booking window will open in November. That is a very difficult time to book an Epcot resort unless you own there due to the low number of points needed and the F&W Festival. In fact, the busiest time for DVC is from Sept thru the December holidays.

If you're going to pay for a cash reservation at BCV (ie you're going to book with Disney), it will not be as difficult to get a villa. But I would not wait until the very last minute, either.

The combination of the F&W Festival plus MNSSHP makes October a very popular month! :) We go down almost every year, so I definitely think later October is busier than the first half of the month. Many school corporations have fall break around that time. If you are unsure what dates to pick I would base it off what BCV still has available. November is the 11 month window so things will go fast!

I'm a BCV owner and I make my BCV reservations at exactly the 11 month mark when I'm going to F&W. The resort will be at full occupancy during the entire month of October.

Another BCV owner here. Columbus Day weekend is a busy time at the World. I avoid it if I can. Otherwise as others said, book when you can. Good for you to plan this far in advance.

All of the above. Are you looking to pay cash, rent points or are you a DVC owner?

Thanks for all the info!! I am paying cash, not renting points so I had planned to make the reservation as soon as I am able to! If I can't get in there it won't be the end all as I can book another villa somewhere else but I am going to try my hardest to get in there if I can!!! I am leaning toward the 21st-29th so I figured that would be the busiest time there. We went to WDW this past May so I want to go in the fall and see the MNSSHP! We stayed at Kidani and it was beautiful but when we went to dinner in the Boardwalk area, I fell in love with that whole area and want to stay there next. The kids would LOVE SAB!

For cash reservations, start checking at 10 months out and continue to check constantly until you find what you want. Like you've learned from PPs, this is a very busy time of year at the Epcot resorts but it shouldn't be impossible for a cash reservation. Good luck! :goodvibes
