BCV membership questions

i bought my BCV membership directly from Disney in June 2002. I was noticing the other day that my new membership card denotes an expiration date of December 2021. Does that sound right? Also, what happens at the end of the membership period? Are points resold?

Think of it as the expiration date for the card, not for your ownership interest. When that date comes, they will send you a new card.

Do you know the term of the BCV memberships sold in 2002? Was it 20 years?

40 years. Expires 2042

Thanks and a couple years later I bought more points at SSR. I seem to recall that membership being longer than BCV.

SSR expires 2054.
