BCV May 2-7th? Will it be tough to get a ressie?

We are about to buy into DVC. We want to go to BCV or BWV early in May. I am not sure our points we will receive will be able to secure a ressie in time.

Is that a busy time? Should I buy points from someone now and reserve or should I wait until the sale goes through? This may be a moot point as there may not be any availability now.

Any experience or help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

What size unit were you wanting? We have a 1br already booked for May 1-8 that we booked at the 11 month window and were able to invite friends to join us for the week.
So, in Jan we called to change to a 2 br or add a studio to our existing week and nothing was available at BCV. We then tried for a studio at BWV and at first we were told nothing available, but then the CM put us on hold and came back with a studio at BWV for our friends. So, we are staying at a different resort from our friends, but we will all be at Disney!

But from the trouble we had, this must be a very popular week for the Epcot DVC resorts!

The Flower and Garden Festival is going on during that time, so that may be why the Epcot resorts are booked. You may want to try OKW or VWL, they may have some openings.
