BCV Max in a room?

I am confused I have a 1 BDR booked at BCV the CM that booked it told me that it sleeps 4 but we allow five?
At the time i did not ask what he meant as we only planned on having 4.
Yoiuguesed it we may have a guest.

What doews this mean?
Can we have legally 5 in a 1 bdr?

They will currently allow 5 in a 1 BR but not provide bedding.
