BCV Laundry Question

Staying at BC for the first time. Where is the laundry located? Will I need a magic band to access the laundry facility ?

I believe 4th floor next to elevator. I used an app last year that helped to see availability b/c there were few machines and high demand.

Yes magic band entry, only 2 washers and 2 dryers, so it is very competitive. AND people leave their stuff in machines and don't come back for hours (we had this hapen in April. I said pull it out, but the man before me waiting was NICE and from MN and felt bad about this, so I (from NJ) had to wait too. FINALLY me and a NY lady pulled it out so he could start his, the NY lady was behind me waiting.) PS She never came back, even after my stuff was washed and dried.

There have been reports on here lately that the laundry app hasn't been accurate at various resorts. Can't remember if BCV was one of them.

Not BCV but when I used it when doing laundry at Kidani Village the app was a few minutes off. So if it said your laundry was done, the actual machine could still have 5-6 minutes left. When using it, I would add in an additional 5 minutes to your time to account for the discrepancy.

You will need a magicband/keycard/smartphone to open the door to the laundry room. Sometimes other will leave it open, but if it's closed it will lock you out.

Why so few machines? They should have put more.

Not DVC, but at the Hilton Club in DC where I stay a lot, someone left their wet laundry so long that it mildewed and stank up the laundry room for weeks.
